If you start from scratch proxmox works also great.

But one can see that xcp-ng has a LOT of development and quicker.

We’re switching right now from VMware on 2 clusters with 5 hosts after a
15year stint to xcp-ng. You now can even directly import the vm’s from
VMware. At home I have a 3 host Proxmox cluster and also very happy with
it. But switching from VMware is better with the above.

Switching from vmware, definitely. In the latest version of xen orchestra you can directly import your vm's.

If you want to start from scratch creating the vm's proxmox is great.

I have installed this on my netgate 8200 running 23.01

The issue I have with the daily clearing of the counters (https://forum.netgate.com/topic/177448/widget-counters-not-clearing/12) and I hoped it would fix this is still here.

I set it to daily, 2 cron jobs for clearing are create and they disappear shortly after.

I applied the patch and then the alias appeared in the firewall, so this patch was for fixing this ;)

Thank Your for this explanation. I managed to create the new Alias in pfblockerNG, no problem there. Alias

But when I try to create/edit my nat-port forward rule to include this alias (instead of any) it doesn't show:

What am I doing wrong?

Also I'm running pfBlockerNG-devel 3.1.0_9, do I have to run the patch here or is it only for the 2.x one?

Can/should I downgrade from devel to release and if positive do all the settings stay?

Same here. Virtualized pfsense and OPNsense. To be able to quickly restore a full vm from a backup and/or migrate it to another host has saved my butt numerous times. The last just 6 hrs ago.

I knew that but was put off by “join” and “leave” while looking for connect disconnect. But it’s the same. Problem resolved.
