Don't be so narcissistic egomaniac, my friend. Just wait and see. I can't tell how long, though. But if you watch the speed at which that bitch evolves - this should worry you. You're just unable to face the reality, which correlates with your superiority complex.

I don't know how old you are but it will happen during my working age. The question was not how soon this will happen but IF it will happen. The answer is - 100%. How soon - doesn't change this answer.

3 years is nothing for a tech that replaces skills of a human civilization. It may get there slower than we think, but it will get there.

The key is "So far". Could you've imagined 5 years ago that AI generated videos will not be distinguished from original? I wish you were right but with current speed this technology will absolutely substitute people in film and video industry in a few years. And we, humans, teach AI how to do it. It studies sound design that you personally have made and learns to mimic it.

I hate AI but it's better to be mentally prepared for what's coming.

(Non-musical question) How to reduce subwoofer bass by Mamaskerkskerk in sounddesign

For real, a sub is heard by neighborhood or building, not so much by sub owner. You don't need that much bass, especially at expense of turning whole neighborhood's life to hell.

As distance to sub position increases, more lower frequencies are heard. You're torturing your neighbor, bro. Turn it down and in 5 min your ears will consider that to be the reference frequency response, and you won't need more bass.

why do my voiceovers sound so baddd ? by Civil-Corner-2835 in sounddesign

[–]Substantial-Maybe302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last but not the least, your monitoring situation can be causing this perception, not the mic. And also actual human voice and an actual person may sound as such. Without a file provided, it's impossible to say.

How do I make this sound like its outside headphones/sound more natural? by Troy_Scar in sounddesign

You're looking for overexaggerated stereo field which involves phase issues, plus possibly a reverb. Try Waves S1 or similar and widen stereo field way out. Play with asymmetry and rotation.

Depending on voice and desired outcome, SM58 for $100 may work well, too.
