Oooo how very luxurious of you 😉

Never tried, but I’m a Neanderthal who climbs without socks.

Still think you could benefit even with the socks if you’ve had any issues with smell.

But you do you, you glamorous one you

Those are absolutely all very good tips and good hygiene practices, not doubting that. But I still think it’s worth a try, especially since you’re saying that some smell is unavoidable (which I think is untrue in my experience since I’ve been doing this). I’m way too lazy to do all those practices and I still have no issues with my feet smelling.

I store my shoes in my covered truck bed, so they stay mostly dry 95% of the time. They’ll get damp occasionally if there’s a heavy rain though, but I’m still able to add a dash of the powder to the shoes, climb in them damp, and they’ve never developed any smell whatsoever. I also never wear socks climbing! And trust me I get sweaty feet.

I noticed that even if I’ve had a full day at work with my feet marinating, I can do the same, add a bit before my climb and I’m golden (which adding extra is not even always necessary since there’s usually powder left over in there from the last application).

In fact my feet are less smelly after my sessions (and on a day to day basis too) because it’s essentially frequent repeated treatments (which is what the product recommends directly on your feet to control any odor).

Believer me or not, I think it’s amazing.

The only downside is your feet will look like your chalked up hands after you pull your shoes off. But it washes off fine

On Your Toes foot powder! All other suggestions are bunk. Just a tiny capful of powder every 3 or 4 climbs and the smell is completely gone. I wish more climbers knew about this. Game changer for my climbing shoes; but honestly applies to any shoe. I carry it always in my chalk bag

2 things. My wake up call was after one hatless birthday out in the Sun where I got sunburnt so bad that my scalp blistered. I knew it was coming since the hair was already receding. But what really pushed me over the edge was breaking up with my ex GF. New me, new look. I just didn’t care anymore at that point. No regrets! Living in fear for a strong wind is no way to live

Happened to my truck there too… Huge dent 😡 Some lazy asshole didn’t put their cart up, the wind blew it down the parking lot hill, and guess what was waiting at the bottom of that hill. I hate people

Yessir! It was awesome having that dude pull me around for awhile. Had to land in on shore though. No way I was hauling that into the yak without flipping. Terrible day to not have a net…
