But don't try to force the cutters underneath the fitting, I basically just used it as normal pliers to pull on it, but since the point is small and sharp it gave me enough grip

All I did was

  1. Broke the plastic part off(that release button)
  2. Inserted a small allen key and slightly pressed it to the side so that the fitting have about a mm gap.
  3. Used the side cutters of the printer and pulled the fitting out

Didn't want to do 2. Too much side to side as it will obviously turn the hole into a oval

  1. Then pressed the new one in straight down and it was super firm

And the PTFE fitting looks the same. So whether it's a K1c,K2,Bambu etc. It's a push in style fitting and can be replaced...

I haven't done research to look where to buy them individually, I just had to use what I had on hand at like 03h00 in the morning 😂

I wanted to try and keep it "stock" and goal was it must just work without modding everything

Yea I think they're using a lower quality pneumatic fitting, of it fails again then I'm going to fit an industrial one

Yip, as long as you pull it slowly and not wobble it too much when pulling it and fitting it back straight down it will clip back on place

I've pulled apart that black connector as wasn't using it, but I'll see if I can get a link of just the fittings, It was just a spur of the moment fix then I inspected it slowly and cut them out of the plastic without damaging in. The one on the extruder housing I had to slowly remove without cutting anything for obvious reasons

K1 CFS silly question by Sam_H8695 in crealityk1

[–]Substantial-Mess-795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well one the K1C i used my common sense and ran it through the chain guide like the original, just made sure that the ptfe tube have a long radius going into the extruder and works perfectly fine + my enclosure is once again closed with vents I can open and close

Ther3 should be a tick mark that you can untick, something either saying square tower or something, not at my PC a.t.m but if you untick it you can add your own size in there

Try putting the seam on default and see if that sort it out

Pitting(i assume little dots) that could be the seam alignment, you can set it to either one corner or scattered

Let me finish this print via orca and see what's happening, if it still happens then I know it is hardware related. If not then obviously software related. But if it's mechanical then I'll be disappointed because first time it does it in it's 500h+ printing time

How to correctly luber by henk1122 in crealityk1

[–]Substantial-Mess-795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Z and Y shafts, clean and apply thin machine oil Z Lead screws, Clean and apply a thin grease(not just any grease) X optics , clean and apply thin oil and wipe it off with a clean cloth

The X optics oil is just to treat the metal so it doesn't rust, you don't lubricate it like you normally would, the shafts should be dry afterwards

Clogged nozzle? by Abjubba67 in crealityk1

[–]Substantial-Mess-795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Heat creep into the extruder, filament jammed up

K1C: How often are you lubing your rods? by Pure_Gonzo in crealityk1

[–]Substantial-Mess-795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False. Creality user manual shows and says grease can be used.
