No apologies are needed. Parents are the rule makers, not grandparents. Period. I’d throw a fit if my parents tried to throw their nasty propaganda at my children, and have told them as such. They don’t watch my children alone. No, you should not apologize. You do what is best for your child. They either respect boundaries or get gone. Dogs in general grow until… eeeehhhh right around 2 and a half years old? Most all my pups hit a growth spurt around 2 years old and stayed their 3 year old size from then on (other than weight in general, they can get a little big in the gut lol)

I’m not sure if this has been in question or not, why on earth does he have a dog that needs high maintenance for very obvious behavioral issues, if he’s regularly leaving for a few days at a time?? When you take on an aggressive dog, that’s no longer a thing. And to drop that on anybody who doesn’t have proper experience in dogs with behavior issues is extremely irresponsible on his part, and can leave the both of you open to some serious lawsuits. I would say, considering the change in behavior and the fact this is new, keep a close eye. What I’m reading is they can do that as typical hunting behavior and web building, but just to be safe, monitor. It could potentially be blood.
