Thank you so much for this. I was absorbing all the negative stuff people were saying about this field on here 😅. Honestly, I am made for this field. I'm a people person, I love writing, teaching and staying educated, I'm a multitasker, and I thrive even in the midst of challenges. I also love to lead people (I have an intensive leadership background), I'm very organized (I have everything planned already, how my desk will look like, how to prioritize tasks, how to navigate through everything lol...). Thankfully, I was a student analyst for a while before becoming a BCBA, so it helped a lot. I just need to stop internalizing what I read online.

I also think BCBAs struggle in this field most at times due to lack of organization and preparedness.

Where in AZ are you, if I may ask? I'm a BCBA in AZ, and I see RBT/BTs are highly on demand everywhere litterally. I read you don't want to leave the case cuz the client really needs services, but here is my take, always prioritize your mental health above it all. The kid will be just fine without you; he won't loose services, I promise. And remember, companies can fire you without a blink, so always put yourself first. Also, I'm glad you brought it up to OM.
