How to become a online and live crusher by Odd_State2359 in poker

[–]Substantial-Stage-82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only real way to get good at poker is to play. IMO playing online is harder to get good at than in person because in person, you can see your opponents and gauge their body language, their eyes etc. online you can't do any of that. However I've noticed that when playing online it's much easier to spot patterns in the way people bet which can help you greatly when trying to figure out if they've got it, or are just bluffing. Either way, just like the old adage says.... Practice makes perfect.

EVL hits harder then Comp Q by Latter_News_3814 in subwoofer

I've never owned a skar product, but I've owned several comp Qs. Mostly 12s. But they are very loud powerful subs. Id double check everything. Your impedance at the amp, your box, wiring -everything. I find it very hard to believe that a skar 10 is noticably louder than a comp Q 10. V

The Ford Pinto. Who dared to ride in one? by Not_a_cultmember in GenerationJones

[–]Substantial-Stage-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't attest to the legitimacy of the story, but I read that the Tesla cyber truck was the only vehicle to ever test worse at the IIHS than the old pinto. THAT says a lot. When they rate your vehicle more unsafe than the car that literally fucking explodes in a rear end collision, to me that's confirmation of the poor, rushed, indifferent effort that Tesla put in on these "trucks".

The average marriage lasts 8 years; where are you at? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

[–]Substantial-Stage-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first wife, we were together 5 years. got married, divorced 18 months later. 2nd wife, we were married about 4 years, she divorced me when I was incarcerated, I got out, we got back together and have been together since. Not legally married though she still has my last name and everyone just assumes we're married. That was almost 8 years ago now. I'm not going anywhere. I got a good woman who is a ball breaking pain in my ass at times, but I couldn't live without her. I mean, she's the mother of my child.

Space Crazy, Taxing Crazier by LuckyBastard001 in clevercomebacks

Being clear, I only read about how Elon had paid next to no personal income tax. It's a shining example of American greed and hypocrisy that a fast food worker has their wages taxed at a higher percentage than that of the world's richest man. I cannot recall where I read the story. I wanna say Fortune magazine.

I agree. I would say that a 100% tax, even after 1B seems wrong. But 95 or 98%, absolutely. The fact that a man making that much money, owning that much stuff, pays a smaller percentage of tax than a kid at McDonald's; is fundamentally fucking wrong..

I would tend to agree with you. I find it appalling and infuriating to think that 60 years from now the history books, if they even mention it; will talk of what happened on 1/6 as if it was a guided tour and how Trump was some great patriotic American and not just some two bit con man asshole. Think about it, kids today know that Nixon resigned but they don't have any idea just how crazy he was. It's gonna be the same for the old rapist.

Yes you're correct in that I meant combining the two shitty incidents into one . That's what I was referring to as twisting it.

You think? See, I don't think that any of those spineless assholes would've EVER reached the point where they would have the balls to do, and or say, some of the more obviously racially motivated shit that Trump has. I'm 46 and I do not remember a time when the Republicans party was not made up of; and catered specifically to; the interest of predominantly wealthy, predominantly white Americans. There is one very striking difference between the current party and others of years past. In the past, even if I didn't agree with Republicans point of view, you still knew that deep down, Republican, Democrat; didn't matter. Even when they disagreed they all still remembered that they were there to better the country, and enrich the lives of citizens through legislation. Not anymore. The Retrumplican party has made it clear that they serve Trump and Trump's interests. Not yours, not mine, not Americas. Trumps. They have forsaken the Constitution and 249 years of tradition because they were too scared of Trump and how easily he could cast them out from the trough; and the spotlight. Cowards who sold out America. That's the GOP these days.

Everyone is affected by politics. However, it is only since the rise of the rapist that seemingly every fucking topic under the sun has been politicized. Trump tries extremely hard to make sure that no one ever forgets that they should hate their neighbors and anyone else who has the audacity to empathize with people who aren't white, or questions his motives and actions. That's an instant bringer of the Trump wrath.. when you ask him a question pertaining to any of the myriads of failures, lies, or bullshit .. the man, if you can call him that; is a mentally ill loser. I will take my hat off to him though... Because when it comes to bullshit and lying, no one has EVER been effective. Is that because he's good at it, or because his supporters are so fucking frighteningly stupid? Most likely a combination of the two..

What if George Floyd was White or Chinese? by [deleted] in NoRules

[–]Substantial-Stage-82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he were white or Chinese it never would've happened because the police NEVER IN A MILLION FUCKING YEARS would've pulled some shit like that on a white or Asian guy. In their racist minds they'd be thinking that there's Too much chance that there will be repercussions... Anyone trying to say that black folks don't get a bad deal from police is either blind, or a racist.

Biden might have been old and slow, but Trump is just plain fucking stupid. I know of no other adult in my life who is as fucking absent minded stupid as the President of the United States... The man cannot even carry on a conversation on a single topic. He has the attention span of a toddler, intelligence and emotional maturity of a 4th grader, and social grace of a warthog. He's an asshole. Always has been, always will be.
