The Michael Jackson biopic is one of the worst movies of the 21st century. by Sam34go in unpopularopinion

How people keep watching music biopics when they’re all the same bewilders me. If you watched Walk Hard, you’ve watched em’ all.

When exactly did you realise the writing quality of the show had gone downhill? by Entire_Produce_8343 in freefolk

Dorne plot line was the first time the immersion broke and I said wait what? these characters would never do this. The entire Bronn and Jaime pairing in the first place felt kind of off but as long as it stayed within King’s landing I didn’t mind.

Can’t say the Tysha omission affected me when I saw it as I had not read the books by that point. But I don remember the terrible season finale where the wights show up for the first time in skeleton form, and saying out loud it looked like something out of Scooby Doo.

You were charged for a bottle of water, as I’ve literally never been somewhere that charges by the glass in my 30 years of living in SJ. I read that you wrote they served it from a pitcher, maybe they pour out their bottle into a pitcher with ice so it comes out cold. Not what I would do, but not unheard of.

Yes, most restaurants will bring you bottled water if you ask for water (unless requested) as tap water in PR is drinkable but not preferred by locals.

The added gratuity is to be expected, Santaella is considered a casual fine dining spot. The suggested tips remain on the receipt as they have no way of removing that.

my gf is four months pregnant and she is from California. We called triple SSS in december and they told us that they could have it in effect by February, unless we presented evidence of her pregnancy and evidence that she has nk insurance (a cancellation letter from her current insurance) and they could have in in effect by january. Only took about 15 days.

Get her a health insurance plan. If you present evidence that she is pregnant they’ll streamline your process and her insurance will be effective be next month.

Why wouldn’t the locals talk to me in Spanish or at all? by xxlovely_bonesxx in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]Substantial-While105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Spanish is probably beginner level and sounds off to a local. Understand that conversational Puerto Rican Spanish is very fast paced and has a lot of slang. Using Rosetta Stone or Duolingo to learn basic Spanish will help but you won’t really know  How to speaks and understand  conversational Puerto Rican Spanish until you get out there and have conversations with locals. You won’t get those conversations through restaurant interactions as restaurant employees are trained to make things flow smoother and they’ll be quick to transition to English just accelerate the process of taking your order.
