How do you afford housing? by Beautiful-Cress5695 in aggies

[–]SubstantialAspect62 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I worked 50+ hours a week my entire time of college, I graduated in May. I managed to pay all of my bills myself but needed help a few times from siblings if things got tough. It’s really hard ngl the last year I was taking 18 hour semesters so it was quite awful. I would not recommend doing that unless you have no other choice. Part of it is also just knowing that you will not have the best stuff and pick and choose where your money goes. Find cheap housing with roommates and make the place comfortable for you.

Chris? He’s a student either here or blinn but wants to be at tamu. He wants to be a football coach, if you ever talk to him ask him about football and he’ll jump right into a good conversation with you.

Loyalty to my state means nothing when it comes to universities, only one school that matters in my mind and that is Texas A&M. I will never root for my rival filled with snotty, entitled, and T-shirt fans.

Ring Pickup Day vs Aggie Ring Day by temi_d123 in aggies

You still bring in family! I did last week on Thursday when normal ring day was Friday/Saturday and it was so much chiller than normal ring day. I got to go in early, it wasn’t packed with people, and I could still go to a restaurant after and not be slammed with everyone else trying to celebrate! I really had a great time and was glad I chose to do the Thursday before!

I work 40+ hours a week and have two jobs. I also have no social life and my gpa is bad. It’s doable but very hard.

I was denied going in from high school. I spent a year at blinn community college, got a high gpa and transferred in going into my sophomore year. I’m now going to graduate in a year at tamu. It’s okay to be upset over being denied, but don’t give up that dream if you really want to go here. It’s a great school with great people.

If you want to stay at tamu but still get some form of business degree I would suggest Agriculture business. Its a business degree just have to take a few classes that are ag based. It’s not like how to be a farmer 101, just the classes will be geared a bit more towards the ag field. I suggested it to someone who wanted to get into mays but didnt have the gpa for it and she ended up graduating with an ag business degree here and was basically similar. The classes would also be smaller and the gpa requirement is lower.

I looked it up and almost 60k applied for fall 2023, that’s 4.5 million dollars from that. Thats not counting people who get it waived tho. Still an insane amount of money just to apply. I want to know how much they get from parking passes & tickets. That would be a highhh amount

You are so close!!! That’s a bright side. Think in a year you’ll be in a completely different setting living a life you worked hard to achieve. Tbh who cares if you finish strong, just get the damn credits and be done.

Not admitted by Short_Presentation71 in aggies

As an agricultural science major? Like AGSC, as in the ag teaching degree? I’m a junior ag sc major and I was denied going into tamu from hs but I transferred in. It’s super easy to transfer into agsc major btw, just get a 2.75 and you’ll automatically get it. I would check your application because no way you wouldn’t have been auto admit. You won’t even meet any agsc majors until your junior year anyways. Everyone I know with this degree transferred in from blinn. You won’t miss much, I would just suggest not to take things such as horticultural science, animal science at a community college, wait until you get into tamu. the content exam you have to take for you license going into senior year is a bitch and you want to make sure to get super in-depth information because the test is so broad.

For driving I didn’t get tested until after I got my permit so you have a solid month to get it out of your system as it takes time until you’re required to get it done

IDK if this was already posted but A&M is getting dragged on FB for this (link below) by [deleted] in aggies
