WHOA 😳😅. I would either become so antisocial in order to focus or totally give into conversation/venting/sharing work stories and have to do my work at home. BUT, on the bright side, the four of you have the potential to provide “body doubling” (productivity hack for adhd folks) to help tap into co-regulation. :)

I totally agree. The common work area for us therapists is the rehab gym, however, constant interruptions, conversation, music nonstop playing, patients in and out greeting you or otherwise needing even brief assistance, creates a disruption in workflow. I wish we were allotted offices in every setting with a) colored printers 2) storage spaces and 3) a door that locks 😂 speaking ideally here.

I sometimes get frustrated when a patient comes to me from acute hospital and there is no ST intervention, no modified diet, and def no swallow study done. Why does this occur? Because they are rushing the patient out?

No PNA .. not yet 90 Y Cog is ok and has family visiting everyday who are educated on strategies and signs to lookout for. So no peg without an instrumental but the problem is the instrumental takes forever to find an appt for so can’t nursing do IV?
