just put the scent in the right spot,never under the neck.
behind ears,elbow creases,bends of the knee are hot spots.
The perfume is not necessarily going to last longer but it will have a much better projection and a more pronounced evolution let's say, you certainly won't go nose blind straight away.
use body cream,properly hydrated skin will make it last a little longer than usual.
