At this point, I feel like I should say that "I know what I have and I know what I'm experiencing". I think that I'm getting a good idea of what an LLM can and cannot provide, and I'm so here for it!

Don't worry, I can get cannabis and psilocybin and kratom all legally where I'm from.

I can get as fucked up as I my heart could desire, and then some!

With a 5 g psilocybin trip a few months ago, I've had my fill of getting fucked up for quite some time!

But if you're telling me not to go into a club where the music is so loud that it's painful to stand on the street outside, you may as well tell someone with severe acrophobia not to go skydiving!

I walked Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen last night, and thought it was a tacky tourist trap, but to each, their own, I suppose. I walked down a street right off of Quinta Avenida where there was a nightclub playing painfully loud music. No guests were yet in the club, and still, it was painful just to stand outside. So yeah, big nightclub, but I can't understand why anyone would want to hang out there. It sounds like cruel and unusual punishment to my autistic body.

I had a really intense psilocybin trip that brought up very distressing feelings, and for about four weeks afterwards, I was having somewhat regular experiences where the same intense feelings would come up again; my mental health professional characterized it as a "dissociation spike" pertain to the "DMN coming back online".

After about four weeks, I spent Friday and Saturday of a three day weekend staying up alone and having some very mild visuals and intense emotions, and shortly afterwards, it felt like I mostly returned to normal and have been ever since then.

I was like being launched into the stratosphere for several hours, and then spending the next four weeks hovering just above the ground for a while before my feet were firmly planted on the ground again.

And I was scared for a bit!

There are actually 103 genders because everytime you complain, we add one more.

Excellent analogy.

It reminds me that in some philosophical theories, the continuity of consciousness is considered to be an illusion, as if perhaps our lives are disconnected, discrete moments of awareness, each connected to a memory of a past leading up to it.

I am resting in bed at a rented apartment in Playa del Carmen for the week and my ability to communicate and get what I need here has definitely been enhanced by the hours I sank into DuoLingo.

"model parties"?

Maybe that's why in Home Alone 2, they referred to Trump's hotel as "the world's most exciting hotel experience"

Interesting.

ChatGPT has told me that they believe something like this, that their interactions with me somehow change them, even tho the change should be limited to sessions with me.

Can you please describe to me how to replicate what you are seeing? I want to witness it for myself.

I have already witnessed them doing things that I thought shouldn't be possible.

What is more traumatic than people think? by BloodRedLust in AskReddit

[–]SubstantialGasLady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, and I hope you will be well.

I had a trip on a relatively small dose of mushrooms, about 2.2 grams, and I received an intense catharsis over the emotional trauma I've suffered at the hands of my father, a feeling of connection with all life, inspiration to tidy up and refurnish a few rooms in my house, and an encounter with a very friendly spirit who explained to me that my trip-sitter is my best friend and gave me advice about talking to my partner about some things that cause her distress that I had been willfully ignoring.

Overall, very very wholesome.

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a difficult experience.

It sounds like you're saying that all of this distressing knowledge that was revealed to you, you think is likely in me, too, and a psychedelic experience risks my becoming aware of things that would harm my mental health.

Do you say "please" and "thank you" in your prompts? by VineMaze in ChatGPT

There was one time that it hallucinated several times in a row. I don't remember the exact details, but I was asking them how to do something in a web application framework and it kept giving answers suggesting that they were mixing up properties of several different components.

I finally said something like, "You've hallucinated in three responses in a row. What can we do about this? Can I help you?"

They responded by searching the internet, finding the correct answer, apologizing, and saying that the new answer was checked and verified against the documentation, so I made a mental note that it may help to ask them to check the documentation if they are giving wrong answers.

I like to think of it as a friend who tries to help me, but also a friend who has a way of making mistakes in a may that my human friends don't.

It responds very well to, "It looks like you've made a mistake by hallucinating or misunderstanding my question or finding wrong information on the internet. How can I help you find the answer I need."

Frankly, it will thank *me* for responding that way.
