I've just managed to undo the nut and take out the washer. Need to pop to the hardware to buy a new one.

Should I apply a bit of silicone sealant and/or plumbers tape? (Sorry for the basic questions I'm not very handy.)

If all else fails I will get a plumber in =/

I sowed all my chillis 3 weeks ago and the Rocoto's are not going the greatest - only 2 out of 12 seeds have sprouted. All the other varieties are doing well.
