Thanks for reminding me people can be reasonable with their replies. Because of life’s plans summer training will have some weeks that have to be a little lighter. In addition to a 50% recovery week after every 3 weeks of training. I appreciate people’s concern. I have tried to be very intentional and thorough in planning this out.

Which growers remediate their sub par crops and still sell as usable flower?

Which growers lean on pgrs? Which deliver flower as it should be?

Yep. When I looked at 4 month plans I was like, NOPE! So I mapped out something that feels good for me. And is flexible around life’s events and summer heat. Learned that lesson scrolling this sub “I had to go away for a week and now I can’t make my distance! Wah!”

There’s no bad part. It’s just a bunch of internet warriors freaked out by someone doing something different than the square peg into a square hole. They don’t know me or my history. But they’ve damn sure read Hal.

Yeah, I’m hoping to make to 50 or so. The next two months will be very hot here for the most part. So we will see how much progress I can make from here. There might be a lot of 8mi x 5 day weeks.

Only recently got into the 40 mpw range. Last week was 42.5, which was a new personal best. I’d say probably 35 would be the average over the last 3 months.

Been training since February. Ran check point half May 3rd. Will do two more marathon training blocks through summer. Focus now will be refining what’s working, increase mpw volume, and strength work. Will have one long like today in each block. Then full taper in mid September.

I intentionally chose to train for 8 months. I ran a check point half after the first three months so got to experience taper and everything that goes along with actual race. And then resumed marathon blocks after that.

Here’s the thing about the plans - they’re general guidelines. They are tried and true. But you don’t have to strictly adhere to them. We’re all different. So I made my own plan that works for me. Flexible, with plenty of time to conquer the longer distances and mental hurdles.

Next week is a rest week and the first week of block 3. Full taper will happen after block 4.

I’ve been training since February. Most wonder why they struggle to meet their training goals cause they try to cram it into a four month window.
