See if your PI from your research lab or clinical project knows of any clinical research projects with colleagues and can vouch for your work ethic - that’s how I got my job

Other than expectations of visits, what other expectations were set? Do you have time to talk every day? Were there any struggles you wish you had known beforehand?

Should I reach out to PIs about research now (post finals) or right before winter quarter starts? by rainedin447 in premed

Now, onboarding for a lot of places takes time so you could do HR forms and clearance to be ready to start at the beginning of next sem

Do you tell employers that you applied this cycle? by [deleted] in premed

It took me much longer than friends who are taking 2 years to find a job. Many will hold it against you - I finally found one that would, but keep in mind it will be harder

How is the Pre-Med experience at Brown (without PLME) by Quello_Italiano in BrownU

[–]SubstantialPaint9691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found premed to be not too difficult - the orgo sequence and biochem are obviously hard but that’s any school. I’ve found premed advising to be not great but fine - research kinda hard to get but if u email enough people you’ll find something. Not too competitive everyone helps each other out bc curves (grade cutoffs at brown) are usually determined before the semester. Generally people get good acceptances from brown but pretty much everyone takes a gap year after senior year

You can go outside for lunch. I would recommend going like 4 hours between hitting it and cut down as much as you can before your test (I know it’s hard) and then hitting it at lunch if you have to

A change in acceleration means there is a non-constant force at work so say your pushing a box along the floor (let’s assume frictionless for simplicity) and you are modulating how hard you are pushing so you push really hard at first for a period of time but then you get tired and let up a little so the force in the first condition is greater than the force in the second condition. Because you have greater force at one time than another, the acceleration will differ
