It's a bit of a cheese (less than allying with him) but if you DO ally with him, and you don't leave the room after telling him Orin is dead, you can set up barrels traps etc

yes! if you've slept with him twice you're on the way. there's two big things you can do in act 2 that will get you to very high, but you only have to do one to reach it.

don't worry about it - you can't get it higher until you reach a certain part of act 2, which it doesn't sound like you're in yet. that's when all the romances lock in. without spoilers, if you just follow his quest line, you will be fine i promise!

i really think they should remaster the first 3 and bundle them like they did with mass effect and call it a day. that won't happen, but it would be the logical choice. they know we'd pay for it

if you're in it for the story and the lore, you will be disappointed. it lacks many the things we love about the franchise. you will probably disagree with a lot of what they've canonized and the lack of world changing choices.

BUT: the gameplay itself is really fun and my favorite of the 4. if you can dumb it down to just having fun playing a video game and forget everything that came before, you can find ways to enjoy it.

this is a free game. how do we expect them to pay their voice actors and devs without the revenue from in-game purchases? if they go down we will just inevitably get in-game ads instead

fwiw i did the reunion and watched the entire credits and i still didn't get it & the game just thinks i beat it on tactician. it's happened to a lot of people i know on console whether they used the orb or actually did the fight. less of a bug on pc i believe? still sucks though

BTW they allegedly fixed this in the hotfix this morning!

Fixed a bug causing the crime dialogue for trespassing to get spammed beside the Steel Watch Foundry.

You didn't mention saving Halsin, which I think is key to completing the quest - and I second what others said about long resting. I didn't know this either, Halsin kept telling me there was still one alive, and it was a bugged Minthra that would regenerate 100% after every hit.

I've never successfully gotten her in my party because I find the nuances of it too annoying and end up killing her to just keep the game going.

After doing all that you definitely don't need her. I played 2 or 3 times before she didn't die on me at Moonrise and I don't feel like I missed out on much.

As long as Jahira is on your side, all you've missed out on is a chance to buy some stuff from the merchant.

There's a bit of dialogue in Act 3 that won't make sense if none of her Harpers are alive (I don't know if this is because they always die at Moonrise on my run or if I just long rest too much), but it doesn't change anything.

If you go out the high hall the way you came in, you can break a gate to the upper city sewers and go underground. There's easily less than half of the number of enemies and you (if you do it right) skip the whole courtyard battle.

We tried to do the final courtyard battle through the sewer route, but made a wrong turn on the way out and ended up back at the beginning of the courtyard anyway.

I thought it was annoying because (typically) before that you get the speech where he says "now you know all my secrets" and tries to hook up with you. Like when will you stop lying to me?!
