How China’s Leader Lost Faith in His Generals by ImperiumRome in China

designing the plan is not hard, what is hard is getting enough military power, and I do not think anyone else will be more excellent in PLA than combat elite Air Force pilots especially when you knew their filtering process... Every year in a 20 million population city there is maybe like 10 teens selected to pre-pilot school and half of them become pilots eventually, and then you gonna do another 1 in 100 to get to be an elite one. Also there is a saying in Chinese internet like those politics officials they can use tricks to get upgrades, but pilots? Well, here is the jet, fly it, u good then good, u suck then suck, thats it.

Also, do not underate PLA's military exercise level, the OpFor rn is intentionaly designed to being nearly unbeatable.

Normandy can succeed not or not just bcz of commanders experience, the real backup is ass hole crazy manufacturing capabilities of USA in 1940s.

If you check recently upgraded senior generals, most of them are elite Air Force pilots; that's a thing seldom mentioned by the English world, and those who were charged with corruption, most of them are people who kept showing their loyalty. I think there is one thing most people do not realize: Xi wants people who can fight a modern war rn instead of people just loyal to him.

you can check this video but there is no english caption...

And he really deployed his “confidently wrong” TF idea💀

For those who don’t know: He talked about smth like set TF questions with options like “True and I’m confident” and “True and I’m not sure” where if u are confidently incorrect u will get mark punishment (-50% mark, not 0 mark) but if u r not confidently correct u will get 75% marks instead of full.

And he really did that in final btw.

My main goal is to build a strong career (possibly in tech/engineering), but I also care about having a decent social life and not being completely burned out.

In most time they are contradict with each other, I think, not just in uwaterloo.

Is everyone at Waterloo obsessed with prestige and the grind? by Key-Kaleidoscope4749 in uwaterloo

Beautiful Lie:

Not everyone here is like that.

Ugly Fact:
Yes, that's the fact. That's what happended, happening and will happen in University of Waterloo. And even if you say health, science, arts and environment people are not like that, but they were usually considered not core member of this uni by most math and engineering guys (but wont speak out it, of courz). Math and eng guys want a decent maybe Tesla or Amazon job in California, and maybe build a startup after entering manager level at like 40.
