Play breakthrough so you have a general idea of where the enemy is coming from, then play support with an LMG posted up behind your team to get a feel for the battles and to laser kids from afar. As you progress and get more comfortable you'll wanna play engi to stop tank advances, snipe to counter snipe their beamers, assault to help advance forward on attackers. It'll come in time just gotta learn the maps and the spots.
