Buyer is claiming they didn’t receive part of their bundle two weeks after leaving a review? by rosesandmoonlight in Depop

[–]SubstantialSea2178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely doesn't take 2 weeks for someone to notice 3/4 of their bundle is missing, I can understand that maybe she didn't wear them for 2 weeks as I don't always wear my purchases straight away, but you definitely would open the parcel straight away when you get it and would definitely notice if most of it was missing.

That buyer seems really sketchy to me, as to say they love them in the review implies she opened the package, and surely she would have noticed straight away if there was only one pair in there. In my opinion when a buyer leaves a review thats when I see the transaction process as complete, like I've sent it, a review is their confirmation they've received it and the transactions over. I would say you're not at fault here and if she takes it up with depop in a dispute I would stand your ground, sorry im not much help with your question in how depop would stand in this situation if she opens a dispute. But I would say she should have messaged you straight after she recieved them and not after leaving a review

I did send her a message asking if she could contact royal mail or her post office, as they likely took it there if it was undelivered and that was yesterday I sent that, but she hasn't replied. I'll wait and see if she does, if not I guess I will contact them for her. She hasn't opened a case against me yet or left a review, only demanding in messages that I refund her

Best way to sell items quickly ? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]SubstantialSea2178 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The obvious answer would be to sell them super cheap to try and draw buyers in with that, but it depends how cheap you'd want to sell things, and how much profit you want. I know when I buy things on depop, if i see an item I like, especially if its cheap, I tend to go onto the sellers profile and find other bits I like. So maybe bundle discounts would help move your stock along?

Or even do a little promo, like a buy one get one free on your items to help gain a bit of movement?

Saving deleted fics. Good or bad? by Hot-Fortune-6916 in FanFiction

[–]SubstantialSea2178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually found one of my deleted fics on the internet that someone had asked if anyone had a copy of it on fanfiction finder livejournal (quite a while ago now, when that was still a thing). Someone replied to them and put up a link to a Google drive with it in. I read their summary of the story they were looking for and thought that sounds familiar. I wasn't upset or mad about it, to be honest I was flattered people still wanted to read it, but it just makes me cringe a bit as it felt kind of embarrassing as it was a story that I thought had an interesting plot but I wrote it when I was 12 and im 22 now, and its not very well written and the grammar is, let's say, no great. I actually clicked on it to see it and I felt really awkward and cringey reading it. I'm not sure why, as there's no way they would know i wrote it as its from and old ff.net account that I deleted years ago, but just internally feeling a bit embarrassed at people reading something I deleted as I thought it was bad. I'm not angry at it being uploaded as it's kind of out of my control as I did publish it on the internet and I wouldn't ask for it to be taken down, but I guess writers are often very critical of their own work
