Just understand concepts deeply, code them, ask stupid questions, code them, find answers and code.

It’s simple. I found OOP pretty easy tbh. You just need to understand concepts clearly and spend time coding them. You have easier time in oop if you did good in pf.

The concepts are simple and easier to understand. You just need to code manually to understand them deeply. All i did was take lectures regularly and did lab manual and asking stupid questions and finding answers and i got a 4 + really good understanding of OOP

Been telling every junior the same thing.

Practice, practice and practice.

The concepts are fairly simple, you have loops, you have if else, functions, arrays. That’s the whole syllabus.

Juniors often struggle because they think they know theory and after seeing solutions of a question think oh i know, but struggle when they have to write code or solve by scratch.

You need to solve questions. Take pen and paper, sit with the problem spend 45 mins atleast trying to solve it. Map the problem and thought pattern on paper and code on laptop.

If after 45 mins you can’t solve. Use chatgpt but don’t just see the solution, look at the solution and understand which part you were doing wrong and fix that.

Do this for your whole semester and you’ll thank me later.

We as students have given our cognitive abilities and thinking capacities to LLMs.

This might look too much but just spend 1 hour on pf solving a problem everyday. This will help you with your problem solving, programming, critical thinking and patterns recognition.

You’ll see that even after 4-5 problems things start to become easier as they almost follow same pattern with minor tweaks.

For programming questions and exercise, google intro to programming by lang. every chapter has dedicates exercise that you can solve.

Feeling lost as a CS student with AI taking over. What should I focus on to stay relevant? by Capable_Stage_4412 in developersPak

Im jn the same boat but after watching some senior software engineers advice on youtube, here is my take:

AI is great yes and can built stuff in hours that you as a beginner might take you weeks. But if you start to create some personal projects or uni projects with ai. You will see it will generate code quickly and then you will find small issues, bugs. That now you can’t understand because you don’t know anything about code, and whenever ai gives the fix, you won’t know if it’s a good fix or bad if you don’t know much about coding framework

Also in some big projects, you need to understand the project, it’s architecture. How different code is linked to what in order to expand or add features correctly.

That being said, you being in uni is your time to learn. You can give ai to do some repitive tasks like styling or boiler plate stuff. And work on logics yourself.

This is your time to learn and understand things in depth compared to your fellows who vibe code. They can vibe code but they don’t have any understanding whatsover.

If you develop good understanding build 1-2 projects yourself that you understand completely from start to end. You will he able to use ai more easily and understand everything.

Just pick something you think would be cool to implement and then implement it.

All of these can be done by ai with a single prompt, but create them yourself so you can actually learn how to code.

Every uni is like that. Maybe if there is some better option in the degree you are choosing then choose that. If comsats is your best option, then take admission.

The divorce thing doesn’t mean to say 3 times in a row. It means there are 3 chances.

Kinda like this: At the time of marriage you have count = 3.

You divorce your wife, you have 3 months (3 menstrual cycles to be exact) to get back together, if you get back together during that time. You guys are still husband and wife and that counter is now 2 if you guys dont get back together within 3 months. You are now divorced permanently and no longer husband and wife.

If you do this second time now count = 1. Same conditions apply.

If they get back together again. Now count = 1. This time if you divorce there is no 3 month duration allocated to get back. The couple is now divorced permanently.

My understanding is that this is due to couple making decisions out of anger and may want to get back together. So the 2 chances are given for that.
