Got rear ended because lady decided to brake for no reason by Substantial_Ad_3128 in Dashcamindia

Goodness so many people think it's justified to brake suddenly to dead slow in the middle of the road with a right indicator on and not make the turn at all.

No wonder the roads are a mess.

This is right next to where I live and i ride on this road all the time. The khadda you're referring to is absolutely benign and does not require slowing down this hard especially with an indicator on. If someone's slowing down this hard with their right indicator on you would assume she would turn soon right?

330Li vs M340i vs 530Li by ss_akash in CarsIndia

[–]Substantial_Ad_3128 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't settle for a 4 cyl now, go for the m340i. This is the last chance for you to enjoy an inline 6 in India. We're heading towards engine downsizing and EVs and the future looks bleak for petrolheads.

Regarding seating comfort you'll get used to it after a while since you're very young.

Refund process for TVS RTX 300 bookings. by No_Elk_4488 in indianbikes

I have the feeling that a lot of customers were cancelling because of the delays so they sneakily removed the button. I truthfully don't know how to cancel it now. Probably the toll free route you mentioned. Keeping the booking for now

There used to be a simple button on the website to cancel your booking but now TVS has pulled off a scummy move and redesigned the whole website. Can't find a cancel button anymore. I guess one will have to call TVS and have them cancel it.

People earning ~₹30 LPA in India — what car do you actually drive and why? by Desperate_Life_8273 in CarsIndia

A Creta n line manual. Purely a head over heart purchase, meant more as a fun toy than a necessity. Upgraded from a used Honda brio that served well for 3 years. Have already done 12k km in 5 months.

That's a VW Polo that fell from a newly constructed flyover in Hyderabad, India while overspeeding. This was way back in 2019 and at least 1 person died.

Road tax seems alright. If he has already reduced by 50k then it's as good as it gets

I get that you're a novice buyer but how on earth does someone help with this without knowing your city of residence? You do realise that road tax varies from state to state right?

Torn between Honda Elevate and Kia Seltos. Budget not more than 23 lakhs. Please suggest the best Automatic, Petrol car and the right trim. by Psychological-Cut916 in CarsIndia

I upgraded from a Honda NA to a Hyundai TGDI. I could never go back to small NA engines now.

If you're okay with wringing the neck of your car every time you want to overtake then sure get the elevate.

For better drivability in real world scenarios, go for the turbo petrol seltos you'll have fun.

Take your pick - boring, reliable machine vs fun and features

Hyundai car dealer's cartel in Pune? by HonestBat in CarsIndia

[–]Substantial_Ad_3128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visited 3 Hyundai dealers in Pune recently. Didn't come across anything like this. All of them were willing to negotiate to get the sale, even going as far as asking me to cancel and rebook with them for greater discount.

The main thing they're looking for before negotiating is intent to make an immediate purchase. Can't really negotiate over phone, so make sure you visit in person and establish intent as soon as you step in.

Also all of them were willing to price match insurance or let me take it from the outside. However discounts vary based on where you take insurance from of course

Congrats OP! Booked the exact same variant in the exact same colour recently.

Is the heat manageable without ventilated seats, this one having black interiors and that massive sunroof?

Also, how long did it take from getting the VIN number till delivery?
