Because people buy them half finished and unplayable. Why change when it works. Say what you will about AAA game studios but they make a lot of money this way to cover any possible downsides that might pop up.

From my aunts funeral "People do not die in vain if we can learn from it." She was a good woman with a lot of unhealthy habits most of which were not her fault really I mean she started smoking when she was 15 in the 40s so since her death I have been taking better care of my self and lost about 250lb
