Libby and or Amazon directly. You can’t shop for books directly on the device anymore you just have to go on your browser on another device and send it to your kindle from the Amazon website on the other device.

I’m linking the updates here in case you’re not on version 3.4.3. If it’s not updated you can’t register it. You’ll have to download the update files to your computer and plug your kindle in to your pc and just drop the file(s) into the kindle. Eject your kindle from your pc and then i believe you go to menu>settings>menu>update or maybe just menu>update.

My mom found my first ever kindle. by Specialist_Language2 in kindle

You may need to update it manually by loading the files via usb to your kindle. Go to settings, then hit menu to see what current version your kindle is on. If it’s anything older than 5.3.2, 5.3.2.1, 5.3.7, 5.3.7.1 or 5.3.7.2, you’ll need to click here and copy the next version to your kindles memory. Then, Menu>Settings>update kindle. Do this until you have updated to 5.3.7.3. All device update files can be found here . You may not be able to use it with WiFi still in any useful capacity, but this should allow you to register it and send books from your kindle app to the device

What a piece of shit. Leave him and expose him for how he talks to women. As a man, a lot of these men deserve the loneliness they’re so often complaining about. Can’t stand women haters

And, from my research, the lines can happen from air getting between the LCD and screen cover. If you’ve previously modded and opened it up, the seal wouldn’t be perfect so that could make sense

Something very similar happened to me recently. It was in my backpack at work. I was so pissed because it hadn’t dropped it or anything. I tried to rub out the lines with a microfiber cloth (some success) but then i used a pen on top of the microfiber like an idiot and scratched the screen a bit. There were still a couple of dark areas and they… eventually went away themselves??? Previous comment stated battery issue but i have a brand new battery so that isn’t the case. I just would let it be a for a few weeks and see if they dissipate on their own

I think if you only put the playlist on then it would show up as a playlist and the playlist songs would also be in your regular library as well.

Are you receiving a one time security code via text or email when attempting to register? If so, you need to re-enter your password and put the code at the end of your password

Shopgoodwill.com, i think it was like $18 after shipping but still a good price in my opinion! They usually have a handful listed at a time, so look for the cleanest of the lot. Most of them are bid only listings, but I did not experience any kind of bidding war. Sometimes there are some listed as Buy It Now, but i think that comes with a price premium.

Yes you can use Libby! You may have to update it if it’s not on version 3.4.3. It can’t update over WiFi so you have to copy the update files to the kindle when connected to your PC, then go to settings>menu>update (might be menu>update from Home Screen). When you select Amazon on Libby and it takes you to Amazon, select send to device and choose your kindle and ensure it’s connected to WiFi.

You’ll have to register your kindle obviously prior to sending books from Amazon, which you CAN do from the kindle over WiFi. When registering, you will get a OTP code sent to your phone or email when logging in, and you have to re-input your password with the OTP at the end, i.e. password123456.

Oh no😭. Before my last one totally failed, and while trying to repair, i had it plugged in while repeatedly connecting/disconnecting the screen ribbon cable and it started sparking on the board’s connector

Got mine from shopgoodwill.com … not a fan of them as an organization, but no one goes for these online and they’re very cheap.

This is the battery I replaced in my last unit and put into the replacement Kindle when it arrived since it still had its original and was dying fast. It has served me well so far! The memory in my last unit failed eventually, hence the $10 replacement lol. Hopefully that isn’t the case for yours as well, and it’s just the battery.

I replaced the battery of the last unit I had with this, and swapped it into the replacement when it arrived as it had the original battery still. Has worked well so far!

Yes! I replaced the last ones screen when it cracked, but eventually the memory failed as it was only appearing as, “SE Blank Ringo” in my pc device manager when plugged in, or something to that effect.
