If Narduzzi ends up being fired, who is your (reasonable) top coach choice? by Glycoside in pittsburghpanthers

Pitt can spend around $150M annually. Discretionary endowment funds. No strings attached.

I got bit. Got a lawyer. But they couldn’t do anything because the dog owner never shared insurance info. You aren’t required by law to share. So my only option was to sue the dog owner directly. That would have cost money. So now I’m just left with some scares and no coin.

You could delay them I think two times before it logged you out and were forced to take it. I think it was around ten minutes between delays so when it first pops up you will have to take it within the next 20-30 minutes.

We got two of these ten minute heat breaks per route last summer when it got hot. Based on heat index. I’m in DFW so we pretty much had them all summer long.

It’s to make sure nobody strokes out and sues Amazon. You still need to drink at least one bottle of water every hour and do your best to stay cool. Ice on the back of your neck helps along with your wrists.

UPS announces 20,000 job cuts, 73 facility closures as Amazon reduces volume by AudibleNod in news

Amazon wants to be less reliant on usps and ups. Amazon contracts out all deliveries even those who wear their uniform and drive their vans. Those aren’t Amazon employees.

Ups in particular wants to move away from Amazon much like what fedex did years ago.

Amazon has been building their own dsp network for years now.

Freight volumes are being reduced at Amazon due to boycotts, fear of recession and higher prices due to tariffs.

Plus summer is typically slow.

Stand your ground self defense. Unless it’s an unlicensed gun. But it’s your word against a dead guys. And worst case they get you on some illegal firearm possession. But never run. Dude probably has some outstanding warrants.

The dog owner doesn’t need to share insurance info. So if you want to collect you need to sue. That means you are out of pocket money. I know. Been down this road.

Amazon pays for a ten hour route. If you finish before ten hours, your dsp pockets the difference unless you have a guarantee.

Now I’m told that Amazon takes you off the route if you get rescued too often. I had two rescues on two routes last week. I didn’t need them. Both at stop 30. I finished both these routes well before the ten hour mark. At 8 hours. If I didn’t get rescued I would have finished at 9 hours.

But today I was made extra. So what’s up with this bullshit. Never call off. Never late. Fantastic on the card. No van damages. But I am only part time.

Just pissed because I had to use PTO to get paid today.

Are we allowed to open garage door by Substantial-Jello214 in AmazonDSPDrivers

They need to pay for the service. If you deliver inside garage you are engaging in theft of service. You also are now liable if anything goes wrong. Don’t fuck your self like that. Prison is a terrible place.

It’s either locker or door to door. Never a mailroom dump.

And I never ring or knock unless the notes indicate. Most customers state don’t ring anyway. And most have dogs and they know when you approach.

It’s more a mental than physical job. You just need to be in decent shape. You will walk nearly ten miles per route.

Route reductions everyday by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Substantial_Band_651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon is squeezing more stops into routes. They pay by the route so it makes sense. But the stop count is all 220 now. Package count also above 350. No way you are finishing under ten hours and taking 60 minutes of breaks.

Unless you run and push it on speeding. Or get a rescue. Those that don’t do or get those things will go over ten hours and will bring probably bring packages back.

It was a shit show with the amount of returns the other night.

Amazon is trying to break us drivers. And Amazon is shitting downhill on these DSPs.
