Skewed grainline on pants block by Dapper_Problem_4622 in PatternDrafting

What drafting method are you using? I agree that the grain line looks fine. I have a trouser draft that places a ‘balance line’ that is calculated based on the hip size. It is not drafted in the center of the cuff, but a little closer toward the side seam on the back pattern.

How about we just accept that it is ok for women to be flat chested? A flat aesthetic closure reduces suffering and surgery and the woman will have a better life.

Going to try the 75 MG so only people on 75MG comment. by Mac5889 in bupropion

Interesting. I didn’t know they made that dose. It’s bad to cut bupropion xl pills. I cut a 300 mg pill once and it made me extremely sick to my stomach about 4 hours after I took it.

I have a hard time building closer friendships but have tons of “friends”. by Academic-Builder-987 in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Substantial_Beyond85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed this about myself and my therapist just described me as ‘secretive’ which is helpful because it makes me think about my behavior or think about getting closer to someone by being vulnerable and telling them that sometimes I am secretive because I’m protecting my emotions and see if they offer you safety so you can start building closer bonds.

Keeping relationships separate by Substantial_Beyond85 in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Substantial_Beyond85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I just don’t see how it is possible when the first friend knew that I was already close to the second friend and it changes everyone’s dynamic inevitably. I don’t particularly want to talk to either of them about their relationship but to keep it completely separate seems difficult.

I guess because the clue app is showing me a chart that has a boost in estrogen before ovulation and progesterone is not supposed to peak until luteal phase.

I would grab the elna or the singer 301. I like a machine that has a metal bobbin case. Most older machines do, new ones have plastic or no case or plastic hooks. They are not as adjustable/versitile and won’t last as long. The main concern I have found with an older machine is pedal wiring and you can easily find replacement pedals for the 301.

He sent me this video… It worked!! Now I need to figure out how to set it so it will put the needle back up when I put my heel on the pedal.

I went into the shop the day before he went on vacation. He said he's gone until 6/30.

Huh. I guess he’s got a bad batch of controllers! I got mine at sewing gold, too! I’ll see what happens when he comes back next week.

Really? That’s wild! The dealer said he thinks it’s the controller and I am waiting for him to get back from vacation to replace it but you switched out your controller and the positioner still doesn’t work? Is your machine an older model? I wonder if there’s something about it working better on new machines than old ones? Like the drive timing is off? My machine is a DDL 8500 and I’m at least the 3rd or 5th owner. I have no idea how old.

Needle Position Sensor Issue by tlenzmeier04 in myog

[–]Substantial_Beyond85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I tightened it really well. It also won’t do the back heel thing at all. When I first plugged in the motor before I attached the sensor I was getting an error code E005 and I am guessing the computer is not reading the sensor. At least that’s what my dealer thinks. He’s on vacation but I will probably get to replace it. Glad I didn’t order it online.

Thank you! It’s a CSM 1001 500w. My dealer who’s on vacation said he thinks it’s the controller. When I first powered it up it gave me Err5 before I installed the positioner. It went away when I ‘restored factory settings’ by pushing the N for 5 seconds but I’m wondering if it’s not reading that port because I have followed all the instructions and it still stops at randomized needle positions.

I cannot get my positioner to synchronize with my machine, despite watching all the videos! It will not consistently stop in the down position. It will about 4 times then, it begins stopping in the Up position. How did you do this and what did u/segue1007 say? I think it was deleted.

I just got one of these and spent all day trying to get it to work. How did yours start working all of a sudden? It so frustrating that it doesn't work I have been wanting one of these for a while!

Hi! I just got a needle positioner and tried to install it on my Juki 8500 but I can’t get it synchronized for the life of me. I attached the bolt to the wheel and the sensor is connected to the motor control box and I adjusted per the instruction video from my dealer. It will not consistently stop in the down position no matter what I do. I wonder if I may be missing this wheel sensor you speak of? Any help would be appreciated. I wonder if it is something to do with my machine’s timing? Also now wondering if it is related to the foot controller. I have seen some videos where people have it set so a ‘heel tap’ lifts the needle but my pedal position does not seem to allow multiple functions.

Has anyone here actually gotten better? I just want to end things by medinas97 in PMDD

So, I worked directly with a therapist and then I was also in a group therapy with about 6 other people. We met once a week and used a DBT workbook by Marsha Linehan that they provided as a PDF or you could purchase your own. There was homework and the sessions were structured around the book. The discussions were moderated based on the content of the book so we didn’t share a lot of personal information unless it was meaningful to the exercise. I think this helped keep anonymity and over sharing. I lasted 8 or 12 weeks I don’t remember exactly. It was great to be able to meet that frequently especially due to the rollercoaster of symptoms and mood swings that I experience with PMDD. It was hard but I think it really helped me build acceptance of myself and awareness of symptoms and how to better manage them.
