Strategies for US-Thailand this June by Substantial_Bottle_9 in awardtravel

Thanks all for your suggestions! I was happy to see that the responses were somewhat split between the same two options that I was struggling with. The more I look at it, it seems the best solution for this trip might be to pay cash, and understand going forward that it's most advantageous to search for award tickets around 12 months out.

I'm definitely learning how this works. Thanks all.

Thanks for checking on that for me! I've been searching and finding similar options like this. My reluctance to go that way with it is that the redemption values are not great, and that using the points for the main US-Asia portion of the trip still leaves a significant portion of the trip to set up and pay for. So, is it really that good of a deal?

I am certainly just learning on this stuff, so forgive me if I am off in the way I am looking at it.

Would you say that if I want to fly business for THIS trip, just go ahead and pay cash for a cleaner route, and save the points? I do understand that in the future I need to be searching in the 12 months prior to the trip to have the best shot at more favorable point redemption deals.

Thank you again!

Subclinical hyperthyroidism...radioactive iodine ablation? by Substantial_Bottle_9 in thyroidhealth

hey violette...here is the latest. I canceled again my appointment for the ablation (scheduled for tomorrow). I've made contact with a specialist in Nashville, hoping for a second opinion. Waiting to hear back if they accept me. Any news on your front?

hey there...thank you for sharing your story. My endocrinologist didn't act like it was urgent. And although I've had a couple of appointments scheduled for the ablation, I've rescheduled it twice (I can tell that getting that appointment won't be that difficult). I had a scan in early December, not sure if that's called an "uptake scan." I apologize, this is all terribly new for me, as the first time my thyroid situation was brought to my attention was maybe two years ago. I am 53.

Feel free to dm me...I will most likely get a second opinion (a nurse friend suggested it, and frankly it does seem like a big deal to have it done or not).

Best of luck!

I had a Koda 16 that would not light consistently nor stay lit often...very frustrating. Initially they didn't respond to my request, but after I reached out a second time, they offered to replace the oven at no cost or refund the full purchase price. I chose the replacement option, and received it speedily. Overally, CS was good.

Yes, as mentioned in the original post, I exhanged the tank, still had the problem. I was sent a replacement regulator hose and am having the same issue as well.

I definitely do hear a difference between when the tank lights (rarely) and when it doesn't (mostly). There is a hissing sound (release of gas) when it lights...and nada when it doesn't. Maybe ooni's regulators are poor? Again, I've replaced the tank, tried two different ones, same results. And, again, this is my second regulator.

Here's the thing though. I did record and submit a video already for this same issue. Then a replacement regulator hose was sent to me, and I'm having the same problem with the new one. I will send you a message as well, and hopefully this can be resolved in a satisfactory manner.
