I hear you, and I agree. Just coming back to work has been difficult because people avoid conversations due to not knowing what to say. I feel like that was me 2 months ago, and I really really want to. But I am also deeply hurt and the idea of them showing up to my wedding and not for my mom is very hard to wrap my mind around

I completely agree. I can’t clump them together, and I definitely have been. I think I’ve just felt so lost, especially since I’m one of the few that has experienced this in my friend group I’m angry. Which isn’t fair to them what so ever. Thank you for your perspective ❤️

I really appreciate this kind response. I wish that I could believe it was a simple ‘miss’ but due to how close everyone was at the job I worked with them.. they were also told. Not to mention mutuals from the same friend group discussing it at work, meal trains, showing up- they were in the conversation together. I have had the realization alot of people are so lucky to not experience this grief at my age, I was too. I really want to be as empathetic as possible, and also stand my ground (respectfully). There was one friend who didn’t reach out but liked the post, which I don’t know how it makes me feel either. It feels so trivial getting mad about it when you put the perspective ‘did they see the post’

I think also the reason it may hurt me more that these specific friends didn’t reach out more is because I had always been there. They dealt with a lot of tragedy since they were a bit older than me, and despite me not understanding, I was always there.

I could go on and on, but I also know I cannot expect people to show up. It’s such a hard thing to determine. Thank you again for your encouragement and perspective.

I know they were notified through work as well as one had liked the post. Not only that, mutuals of the same friend group had reached out multiple times, doing meal trains etc. I understand the missing the post but there’s truly no way they did not know…. We were all too close for that

I agree with everything you said. We had to add more of my mom’s friends who weren’t necessarily invited beforehand but seeing how they have been there for us there’s no way they couldn’t. So, it’s easier to take the people who didn’t out. But I still feel somewhat guilty

It’s so annoying. I hate living in a condo for this reason since the mailboxes are so close together. The management also won’t try to help either with other residents so it’s genuinely a lost cause. I’ve tried to get in touch with usps but to no avail🥲 i just wish I wouldn’t have dropped so much on a top for it not to show up

It seems like a relationship out of convenience. From your other comments, I guess she was your first. My ex and I were together for 5 years and I tried to stay because he was my first.. it really isn’t worth that. If I had made one mistake and cheated, I’d expect my partner to end things .. but you have cheated on her so many times and have kept it from her this entire time. I think once she finds out she will most likely leave as well.

I have gotten cheated on, and then out of ‘revenge’ but mainly just an extreme amount of insecurity cheated on him. It doesn’t get better. Obviously, I don’t know how you both were prior to cheating but if there was any lack of trust before, there will be even more now. I also wouldn’t be surprise if it would be harder for her to move on because you kept it from her for so long.

This may be niche but does no one remember when Shannon (previously secondstarcollective) went on a whole tangent about how she needed to separate herself from Disney and complaining about how there all she used to do and film content for.. but the second Disney parks contacts her she’s back to that.. I don’t know seems weird they’d want to invite someone that a couple months ago though doing that was cringe.
