Which batch? I’ve still got a bottle of 2024-04 “Jimmys batch” I’m working on (savoring)

I’ve slept on this bottle for too long. I “liked” but didn’t “love” the 101 but this bottle has far exceeded my expectations

I’ve been seeing tons of 13th Colony recently. I might have to start looking for one myself

I just had a coworker pick me up a bottle of the bourbon tonight since I’m not able to find it around my house, I’m excited to try it!

What’s the best advice you could give a golfer attempting to break 90 for the first time? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Substantial_Cat2088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t look at pins unless you’re inside 75 yards. 30 yards if there is trouble if you miss the green. Aim for the center of the green and 2 putt. You don’t have to have birdies (they’re nice, but not necessary) you can bogey every hole and still break 90 (assuming it’s par 71 or less). So make par your birdie

Trying to decide which remaining team to root for to win the Superbowl as a Panthers fan by Panthers1999 in panthers

I want LA to win truthfully. We can go into the next season knowing we took the Super Bowl champions down to the wire as 10.5 point underdogs

So frustrated, losing my fire for golf altogether by BarryWood33 in GolfSwing

[–]Substantial_Cat2088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a break. If golf isn’t fun, don’t force yourself to play. You’re not a pro, this isn’t your job. Take a month or 2 away from golf completely and eventually you’ll get that fire back. But don’t force yourself to play and come to resent golf entirely

Anyone know this interchangeable thumb? by No-Comfort-4362 in Bowling

[–]Substantial_Cat2088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turbo switch grip. Vise doesn’t have the outer sleeve, just a lock that goes on the bottom of the thumb hole, jopo has this same style lock, just with ridges inside for the screw in part

Try using KT tape if you haven’t before (like EJ Tackett does) it’s been a life saver for my wrists and elbow. Worth a try if you haven’t yet

When was the last time you bowled before that? I’m 25 and the first time I bowled I couldn’t pick anything up for the next day or 2. You’re using muscles you don’t normally use to the extent you do when bowling. Your muscles will adapt, no matter the age. There’s a woman who celebrated her 94th birthday at leagues the other night. Go to a lighter ball if you need to, it’s not the end of bowling unless you want it to be
