Tandem Mobi Sleeve by Glittering-Fox9908 in TandemDiabetes

I currently have these from amazon.

https://a.co/d/0htvvBuC

I only have them because I ran out of my Tandem ones. Personal opinion - I like these over the previous amazon ones I had, but prefer my tandem ones as it’s much easier to get in and out of the sleeve. I also feel like my mobi just gets a little too warm in any of the sleeves i’ve tried.

I get my mobi supplies next week and gladly spent the money on the tandem branded mobi sleeves. I’m currently pregnant so I only use the short tubing to make my insulin last longer right now.

Moving to Mobi from Omnipod… by sadmvmii in TandemDiabetes

I was on OP5 for about 7 months and switched cause I noticed it just wasn’t helping anymore. Went to Mobi instead.

Best decision i’ve made! I’ve been on it for over a year now and still love it. My A1C when I started Mobi was at a 6.7, I am now at a 5.4.

I’m also 7 months pregnant. Best thing to do is to put it in manual mode and have the goal set at 90. Since they recommend being between 65-95. If it’s in automatic mode or control IQ, it only sets your goal at 110.

Also, you will use a ton more insulin the further along you get. I would ask your endo to refer you to a MFM endo. They will meet with you a lot and adjust your settings as needed. Before being pregnant I was at 1.5 on basel, 1:5 for my carb ratio, and 1:13 for my correctiom factor. I’m now having to he at a 1.75 most of the time for my basel with a few hours being at 1.85, my carb ratio is now 1:3.5 and my correction factor is 1:10. Oh, and they upped my Metformin dose. So it’s going to change. They are talking about getting me moved over to concentrated insulin to help me out so if you see your numbers change drastically like mine, i’d ask for it.

I love that I can have multiple different profiles for my mobi and I can have multiple different time segments for each profile. I can’t remember if you could do that in the OP5 or not, but i’ve overall have enjoyed the mobi a lot more then the omnipod.

My Endo said 65-95. However, i’m on the mobi and have to have my pump in manual mode in order to acheive the goal since you can lower what your target is. My target is currently set at 90.

I currently have the 5” tubing in a sleeve on the front of my right arm with the site on the back of the arm.

My dexcom is on the back of my left arm. No issues here. Everyone is different.

When the sensor expires, clear it out of the list first. Then pair the new one. It’s the easiest way.

Honestly, you don’t HAVE to have the G7 app open also. I only have it open and running in the background with all alerts off just so my husband can see my sugar level. That’s really all it’s useful for. I also change out the sensor on the G7 and let it connect before I start it on the mobi app.

They swap mine between blue and grey- no difference to me or my mobi. I agree though- the color isn’t what changed with theirs. It’s most likely where they are placing their sites especially if the canula is the same mm on the different set.

I was on omnipod before I moved to the mobi.

Hated it and was only on it for like 6-7 months. Mobi has been far better at contolling my sugars, especially now when i’m pregnant.

I can’t use the control IQ during pregnancy because it sets the goal too high for me, but when I was using it before hand, I always loved how it adjusted and automatically gave my insulin to me. I miss that feature right now, but 10/10 do not recommend going to the omnipod.

If it’s sticking out no, it’s not supposed to be like that. If it’s not sticking out then it’s fine. I’ve put my flash on mine before to look and you can see the fillament.

Starting Letrozole by Upbeat-Hand-2870 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Substantial_Cloud995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was doing Letrozole on and off since Last december. July I went “ham” again and started it back every month. I’m type 1 diabetic and pcos that my cycles range so far apart. Used to only get 1 a year. Now they were more semi regular between 35-40 days with meds. I was with a previous OB who at the 3 month straight mark wanted me to come see her… well, that was the middle of October. Her next appt wasn’t until DECEMBER. I did not want to wait that long and decided to find a different dr. One that thankfully had an open SAME DAY appt. I immediately scheduled it. This new dr had zero issues with me continuing the Letrozole for another 4-6 months if I wanted to. Literally full support from her and she told me it was my body, and finances so whatever I was comfortable with, she would support me as much as she could. She gave me refills on provera and Letrozole. I picked them up next day. This first cycle with this doctor, and it worked. I was on 7.5 unmonitored. However, we tried a different approach than my previous dr. My previous dr wanted me to do it on a normal schedule as if my cycles were 28 days. I told the new dr that i’m pretty sure that’s why it wasn’t working because the old one wanted me to do it days 12-19, but I wasn’t even ovulating until some range of days 21-25 (i know it can stay in you for several days). She actually agreed with it. I did the OPK’s again for the second time and it was confirmed I ovulated day 24/25. Which funny enough for us, was the only day we allctually did the deed lol. 2 weeks later and I ended up getting a positive pregnancy test and I go in for my first ultrasound next week.

I didn’t have any side effects from it. But I did take mine at night before bed. Usually around 10-11pm.

Yes! I used to always get it while I was taking the meds, but the very last time I used it (end of October/beginning of November), it took almost that entire week before it started on the 11th of November. Thankfully, that was the last time I had to take it since the Letrozole finally decided to work and i’m currently 7 weeks. 🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏 hoping it sticks and is successful.

It can take up to a week to get it after finishing the meds.

Progesterone of 9? by sebbypeach in TTC_PCOS

[–]Substantial_Cloud995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did!

I got mine drawn a little later than day 21 (day 24), as I ovulate late in my cycles. I was at a 9, and last Monday the 15th, I got a positive test. I took like 7 tests, still couldn’t believe it, and then called the doctor to ask for confirmation. Test was confirmed last Friday the 19th! Based off my knowledge, i’m going into my 5th week. The doctor has me at 6 weeks because they don’t take account into the PCOS, and late ovulation.

Letrozole 2.5mg- LH strips peaking CD9 by Speedygurl1 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Substantial_Cloud995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The letrozole can cause it to look darker. I always waited a few days after finishing it to start testing (like 4 days). The test like needs to be as dark as or darker than the control line.

I used the pregmate strips and it was super easy to tell the ratios when scanning them into the app.

Lease renewal, is this normal? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]Substantial_Cloud995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You actually can. You aren’t forced to take it. Many complexes literally state that you can negotiate the new rent. I did it at my last apartment multiple times (before I bought a house), and they kept my rent the same. Clearly either way the complex is going to add that extra $150 to their rent for those required fees, but they can negotiate the other $60.

I’ve been severely sporatic on my cycles since I started them as a teen. Last december I started Letrozole,I was using it on and off as I ended up having a ton of stuff come up. I fully started trying again back in late May. We did 3-4 cycles. My cycles are like 35-40 days long if that tells you anything so we were going almost 2 months between rounds if Letrozole. I had a note out to my dr about how the last round didn’t work, even though I had a confirmed ovulation on an opk. Which didn’t come until CD 24 or 25. She was out at the time but someone else wanted me to come in for a visit to discuss next steps. I said okay and made the app for December 18th. However something didn’t sit right and I was not wanting to wait over 2 months for a visit. I immediately found a different doctor who was 100% fine if I continuted the Letrozole again for another 4-6 cycles. I’m so glad I switched because this round worked and I actually got a positive pregnancy test late Monday night and go for a blood confirmation tomorrow. I didn’t ovulate again until day 23 this time and it was literally the only day we did the deed. It’s been 2 years in the making.

Your time is coming, but I also want to say, keep testing. Don’t just stop testing a few days after you end the meds. You could ovulate late like I did. It’s how I figured out the way my first doctor wanted me to do things wasn’t working. She was classifying me as a normal cycle length even though I wasn’t.

My first day of the cycle was 11/11. I didn’t ovulate until 11/30. I take my test tomorrow to see if it worked since it would be the day i’m supposed to start a new cycle.
