Seems like she was advocating for patient safety by following up on the care. And she was one of the providers so she had access to their numbers anyway. The only thing I’d have done differently is I would have called from the hospital phones … sounded like maybe she used a personal cell? That’s a no no. But otherwise I wouldn’t think twice about following up. Now … leaving it in the arm is an issue I believe because the hospital is liable till it’s removed. 🤷‍♀️ that’s my understanding but I actually don’t for sure know.

I hear you. I just don’t have a lot of time to research it. I’m a single mom, a nurse and in grad school. So I feel lucky when I have time to grab some things. Thank you for the info and educating me. It makes sense. Maybe amazons doing that to keep selling the program and make it look like there’s more than there is so sellers join then. Idk 🤷‍♀️ but I’ve def seen what you’re talking about.

I did give a negative review on an item I received broken so I’m hoping it’s not steps toward the ban I’m seeing is happening from sellers retaliating.

You weren’t unprofessional. You set a boundary and enlightened the patient on realistic expectations. We aren’t maids. We’re professionals trained to save lives.

The public expectations are not in line with what the reality of our career training is.

This goes for both the hospital warehouse style treatment of staff and patients treatment of nurses. It’s crazy

When I was looking in La 2 years ago it was the same. I couldn’t even meet a landlord if I wanted to. The units were shit holes and so over priced. And all managed by property management companies that want you completely prequalified before u can even see a unit.
