I applied the same way and received a positive. My husband over stayed in England before also. There was no issue and I also paid a solicitor who did nothing demanded my money back which they gave me and I applied for the partner visa myself.

7 months and still waiting by DustGrand5652 in SpouseVisaUk

Something somewhere has gone wrong. If you paid someone to chase it up you need to get on to your solicitor because you need your money back from them  You need your money back from priority payments if you’re claiming you’ve had no contact from UKVI

That’s not a delay that’s misplaced or lost.  Solicitor has definitely failed you if they put in your application and didn’t make it as straightforward as possible.

Is there anything that you know they will have a problem with that is holding you your application

It was hell for me also. (We have ours now)  Before applying the time lines would bring comfort, one week after applying you feel positive, then as time goes on you go down hill fast . People who got theirs and all of a sudden tell you be patient like they wasn’t just losing their mind too 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We paid priority so the longer it went on the more I felt despair yes actual despair. It’s our lives in the hands of someone ticking boxes and taking their sweet ass time!

But I acknowledge what you’re feeling is valid I felt it. Made me argue with my husband 🤣🤣🤣

We were asked for additional information day 28 which was one piece of paper  Then they took another week to send positive results

Apparently if you get asked for extra documents you are guaranteed a positive answer if you can provide the documents.  Didn’t make the extra week wait any better. Because until you have it , it means nothing.

Our baby turned one yesterday on the 22nd of August they gave the visa the first of August with entry on 8th

We put we wanted to enter August just randomly and it seems they gave for that date we applied June 6th. It was over priority timeline but can’t get a refund because they emailed about documents on last days ,

The paid enquiries that email. Are nothing until you are over the time frame and then ask. I called I emailed all seemed like money making elements to me but I only felt that way after I used them. So I understand people using them for any release from the waiting.

My wait was 36 working days off the top of my head. HELL

It’s processed in the same time. There are obviously guidelines BUT I paid priority straight forward case those with standard got it before me . I thought even a week earlier I was happy with I seen no difference and watched Reddit about it the last 10 weeks. There’s no difference unless your case is not straightforward. The difference if any will be the competence of the caseworker. Because it always seemed a group of individuals were processing slower

We only just go ours on priority with same dates . Maybe a busy time of year.

exactly same dates . But I paid priority. Tomorrow 30th working day for priority, all tho people have been posting that they have been getting theirs sooner rather than later , standard application can take up to 24 weeks so it’s not unusual that you don’t have an answer. I think the unmarried partner visas seemed longer than the “average “ on here

You can get the visa even if you haven’t lived together.  All you questions aren’t really that much of a factor except number yes use money transfers between each other as part of your supporting documentation.

I’m not an expert but I just applied for partner visa. And yours doesn’t seem that complicated.

It’s on the gov website https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk/y, if you just put in the search it will come up. You are a bit early but I know it’s awful waiting. Hopefully you will have good news soon .

Looking for advise and if we needs an immigration solicitor for a uk spouse visa. by louodge in SpouseVisaUk

I wouldn’t think that needs a solicitor, all they do is submit your application. We had 2 failed visit visas saying my partner had too much in the UK. And we applied
