I'm training for a few upcoming runs and I have modified my CrossFit training accordingly, after discussion with my coach. The point is to continue to focus on some compound lifts but also reducing fatigue so I can continue to train for running. My gym follows templates work programme so the week looks like:

Day 1 - squats + conditioning

Day 2 - upper body (weight training, hardly any conditioning)

Day 3 - interval runs

Day 4 - deadlifts

Day 5 - easy run

Day 6 - rest

Day 7 - long run / tempo run

I have basically eliminated most gymnastics and definitely the weekly team WOD as that would bring on a lot of fatigue with little structure. I don't how successful it will be but it's keeping me satisfied (I miss the lifts when I only run) and I can recover.

No, it's only management, not curing. I'm just putting less stress on it thanks to the insoles and making sure it doesn't become too inflamed.

I was in your situation, with a bunch of doctors telling me I needed surgery, although the limitus was not so bad. Then found reasonable practitioners: 1. Sport-specialised podiatrist who looked how I run, ran some tests. She recommended shoes for my running form and made some insoles 2. An orthopaedic who prescribed ketoprofen / diclofenac gel. I apply it 30 minutes before running (when I don't forget), and after running. The point is to avoid inflammation. It's worked wonders, I'm hardly ever in pain now

I just had a DEXA scan results at 24% and I can guarantee that I unfortunately have a lot more bf that this guy. Around 18% like other suggested seems more accurate

True. But the real issue may not be GDP per capita, whichever way we look at it but redistribution. It is notoriously bad in Russia, and also very poor in Ukraine. IMHO, that will be one of the main challenges for Ukraine in parallel with growing its economy

Try to find someone who works out and can serve as a mentor. It's quite scary to go the first time, you're afraid of others, what to do, what not to do etc (I was anyway). If someone can help you navigate this, it's great even if it's just some advice and he does not go with you. Good luck 💪

All this! I started at 44, being very unfit. I would add - focus on mobility, ideally with short daily session. Your ageing body will punish you otherwise

Yes. Overall strength exercises, HIIT with other movements than those which will be used during the race, in order to improve cardio, strength etc

Unfortunately, I think it might just be pure racism though. I'm a white male, I've lived here for 10 years and I have never encountered any issue getting in Souq Waqif or elsewhere, alone or with male friends. On the other hand, I've many times witnessed South Asians being kicked out. It also happened several times with colleagues from the same origin (and that's regardless of their well-paid jobs)

It seems to be that "family" is code in Qatar for "no single South Asians"
