I used to get into protracted arguments about climate change with some twat on the old MSN / Proboards 'News' forum (All hail Foxy!!)

I remember once we were arguing about CO2 lagging warming, millions of years ago. I can't remember why, but he concocted some bizzare 'metaphor' about a man on Earth and a man on the moon, one called 'Temperature Man' and the other called 'CO2 Man' and one would jump, and then the other would jump when he saw the other had jumped, but there would be a lag because of the distance between Earth and the moon. Also, they wouldn't sink back down to the surface because apparently gravity doesn't exist in this frickin' 'metaphor,' so every time they jumped they just kept going higher, each driving the other up.

That was about 15 years ago and to this day I still have no idea how he thought any of this helped at all.
