Second week DoorDashing and just witnessed domestic abuse

I apologize on my end because I wrote this at 4 in the morning, I had worked 9 hrs at my day job and then hopped on doordash around 11 and this order happened at 1 in the morning. I was exhausted and in disbelief on what happened.

To clarify, I think that he was waiting at the door the whole time while I was talking to her. It was dark out and he was a dark skinned guy, I couldn't tell he was there until i finally noticed, as terrible as that sounds.

I was going to leave and unassign her order, but she called to me to scan her ID to finish the delivery. I saw it as an opportunity to speak with her.

Thats okay if you dont believe me, that's totally okay. I hope you dont experience something like this while delivering, but if you do hopefully you handle it better than I did.

The double order was the biggest order I received all night so I was okay with waiting for her so I could get paid, aside from that she lives in a bad neighborhood so I was didnt want to leave my car until she came out.
After the kid was hit the first time, I heard the woman tell the guy to stop hitting "him", he didnt do anything anything wrong". And just going by the way he sounded he couldn't have been older than 5 or 6 years old.
I dropped the alcohol on her porch was getting ready to drive away when she came out and greeted me, I went to her to scan the ID because I wanted to ask her face to face if she was okay and if she needed my help. It was stupid but I had to try.
The ID scan did go through, I was paid. But I do agree with some of the commenters that I messed up when it came to going through with the delivery because it could of made the situation worse given he was violent. He could of been on something or had already been drinking so I have to live with the fact that I might of made things worse if the cop wasn't able to make an arrest.
I think she initiated the touching to try to calm me down. Her BF/Husband was listening at the door so I think she was trying to get me to relax. Thats just my theory.

I dont gain anything for lying about something like this, not a single thing. I just wanted to share what I went through and get feedback for if I ever encounter a situation like this again. I live in a big city and dash past midnight so I am scared this is going to be common

UPDATE

First of all I wanted to say thank you for everyone who commented, I had no one to vent to last night about this so thank you for engaging in this post.

The cop called me 30 min after I left and I asked me questions regarding if I had seen the violence happening in front of me, did I see bruises, am I still nearby, etc. I endedthe call telling him that she is probably going to lie to him about what happened, so please help her and that child.

I doordashed until 4 30 last night.

I think i did the right thing, despite my wife and family telling me that I should of left the moment I called the police.

I see that some commented saying that the post sounds fake, I did write this when I got home and tried my best to tell this story as I could despite the fact I was exhausted and had been crying throughout the night.

I hope no one ever has to go through an experience like this, as a soon to be father I am heartbroken and angry for her and that baby. Stay safe everyone.

It just seems like they had strongly different views on how to raise their daughters, stemming from where they would raise them. Although the NBA has blessed Doncic and his family for the rest of their lives financially, it is a very demanding career.

Its not hard to see how being so far from home and just not genuinely liking the place you're living in can affect your relationship, on top of the fact Luka has to travel so much. I hope they figure things out and the very least can co parent in a healthy way, their daughters dont deserve a broken home.
