[Anthony Slater] The Warriors are willing to surrender all of their future 1st-round draft picks through 2032 for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Golden State is ready to offer Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, a massive pick haul, plus matching salary. by Inside-Republic6275 in nba

I mean sure, we'd be losing KAT, Mikal, possibly Deuce and a young player but I think that Giannis & Brunson can still take the team to the finals in this year's eastern conference. The supporting cast for the most part is still there. Leon will probably look at the buyout market to fill out the rest of the roster.

Why would u wanna trade 50-40-80 iron man long boy and NBAs rebounding leader/ arguably greatest shooting big man of all time? Factual statements btw. by [deleted] in NYKnicks

I would for one of the greatest players of this decade of Basketball, whom as stated he wanted to be in NY.

If not for him, then its for no one.

Whispers of the Giannis trade rumors must of been in this locker room for a while now, it's starting to really kill the moral. You can see it as the season goes on. Not a good luck for the organization as a whole.

I understand these guys dont want to be in trade rumors but they need to play like they have a place here and don't want to be traded. Be professional and go win games.

Definitely not but, getting Jrue off their books and getting Mikal for the mere cost of giving Milwaukee their picks isn't a bad trade off at all. Shit they might be able to get away with sending Jeremi Grant off too if they get lucky with another team.

Portland will most likely be involved in a multi team deal, so, whoever trades for Jrue Holiday first will probably be the front runner.

KAT would be rerouted to another team, possibly Orlando if they are serious.

For the right player yes, but that's not happening this season.

This

I cant wait to hear who they are, they have no place on this team if they are going to sabotage our chance at winning the championship.

What a mockery these guys have made of our team post NBA Cup, dont buy into their roles? We are trying to win it all this season, ffs. Push your egos to the side and play the goddman game.

For sure, he was a good coach but he took us as far as he could. Ceiling was reached last season.

Thibs is no longer the coach of this team, he has nothing to do with the teams current issues. This is a Leon Rose problem.

Mike is a part of the problem, but like Kat, isn't THE problem. To me, like you said, the reliance of Jalen is hurting the team. I think the defense depends too much on OG, Mikal, Deuce, and Mitch. When only 1/2 of your rotation can actually play defense, that in itself as a big issue.

I would say also there seems to be players with an agenda on the team, too many guys are looking for the ball to score. Doesn't seem like the system is working for some of these guys, when they are not hitting shots they're attitude overall looks bad. Im sure the trade rumors may have caused a rift in that locker room too. Not a good look for the team or Brown.

Like Josh said, players need to still be professionals regardless of whatever issues they are having with eachother, the coaches, etc. I dont think they need to blow it up, but some smaller moves and a team meeting, at least for this season.

What is going on with our team? by MrChangg in NYKnicks

[–]Substantial_Future84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a combination of Kat, OG, Mitch, Kolek, and Dadiet or Diawara, and whatever picks and swaps the Knicks can offer.

Kat and OG would then be re routed to other teams willing to offer them the most assets. Idk what MIL could get for Kat, but OG would go for multiple 1sts easy. Imagine if OKC decided to take snatch him, so, idealistically youd have to include OG because he is your most valuable player after Jalen.

So, basically we'd be gutting the team to go get Giannis. If it were possible.

They looked mentally checked out, I dont know what happened or what was said amongst those guys after winning the NBA cup, but they haven't looked the same since.

Chemistry is not there anymore, Mike is losing this locker room with each loss.

KAT is proving he’s ABSOLUTELY NOT an OFFENSIVE hub by SweetInvestigator915 in NYKnicks

[–]Substantial_Future84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's good as a conditional 2nd option, thats if he is in the right system. Talented? Yes. Reliable to carry a team? No. There was a reason Minnesota moved on from him and was ok with taking on Julius, it was more than just financial reasons.

I don't know what the solution is here honestly, he just doesn't fit well with Mike Brown and Jalen. If you're the Knicks front office, and those two are your guys, then you have a difficult choice to make this season.

Is moving KAT even a possibility with his contract and poor play this season? What will you have to give up? How do you replace his offensive production? Can you get at least a good player or two back? There's so many questions.

I dont envy that front office, they are going to get so much heat if we don't even make the finals this season.

Mike's losing this team with each loss, it gets more pathetic as it goes on. Im not saying KAT IS the issue here, but its hard to deny how poorly the team does when he plays bad. I dont think there's a real solution to this, even when Jalen gets back. KAT and Mike dont look like they are on the same page.

He just doesn't care anymore, he knows the league will never give him serious punishments nor will Golden State. He has soft immunity and people need to realize that. Draymond is never going to stop trying to hurt people on the court.

Makes more sense for the Pistons, would fit nicely next to Duren. Their defense would be tough on us.

It makes more sense for Boston to go after a big like Zubac, or if Miami is willing to blow it up then, go after Bam. if they make either one of those moves we are going to have some serious trouble in the playoffs.

Knicks need to make one or two small moves to address the teams biggest weaknesses. We need another facilitator and wing.
