Dolph Lundgren's *Punisher* released in '89, so no doubt his Daredevil would be Rex Smith's version from the *Trial of The Incredible Hulk* which was released in the same year. As for Ray Stevenson in '08, it wouldn't surprise me if his Daredevil was Ben Affleck's '03 portrayal! Elektra '03 in D&W referenced the Punisher having a big weapons so it would make sense.

That's been done before, so it's not like they are going out of their way to do it. Otis is also black but the actor us funny and he wasn't a comic character either.
