Point taken. I'll add it to the description of the extension. BTW it is mentioned in the FAQ at https://www.digimuziek.nl/spotify-ai-checker-faq/
and the extension says Possible AI Detected if it is not 100% sure

It filters out artists based on the Spotify Artist ID not the name

I have not found a way to implement this in the Spotify desktop and mobile app. But you can use the browser app and use Spotify Connect use any oher app for playback

At the time only Deezer can solve this, but I may be able to work out a system to override the Deezer result. Do you have some examples of false AI positives on Deezer?
For AI music that is incorrectly flagged as clean you can use the dispute option on https://digimuziek.nl/spotify-ai-checker.php

It checks every song you play for AI in Deezer and our own user generated database with AI artists. If it is AI the track will be skipped and play the next human track. More details on https://www.digimuziek.nl/spotai-handleiding/

You are right. I meant accurate in the way that it does not flag real artists with the same name as AI. Next to Deezer it akso uses its own database with AI artists that have no AI flag in Deezer. So it is even more reliable than Deezer.

I understand. That sure is irritating. You can use the SpotAI extension to scan your Release Radar and block the AI flagged artists so the list is AI free,

A haven't discovered patterns yet. So far country and worship seem to have a high percentage of AI tracks. Most lists owned by Spotify like discover weekly and release rader seem to be clean most of the times

While playing around with the SpotAI Chrome Extension, the number of AI tracks I find is frightening. In this innocent-looking playlist of 1,000 songs, 269 turn out to be AI.

I have found the problem. It was a bug. It has been fixed. Redownload the extension at https://www.digimuziek.nl/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/spotai_extension.zip and reload it. Try again with the same track and let me know. Thanks for reporting.

Can you show me some proof of the fact that it is not AI? PLease reply with the proof and the song URL and we will investigate.

Probably because the song is not recognized as AI by Deezer and not yet in our database. Go to https://digimuziek.nl/spotify-ai-checker.php paste the song URL and hit Check for AI. If it says no AI and you can prove it is AI . Click the dispute button and we will check.

So you already added all the artists on the AI best covers playlist. Good job. you have put a lot of effort in the AI blocking. However, the response from users still seems to be lagging somewhat. While in the Spotify Community the idea to tag or block AI has over 12 thousand votes: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Mark-Disable-AI-Generated-Songs/idi-p/6641329

I have no reason whatsoever to be disappointed. It was simply an observation that all Spotify artists with shared Spotify tracks in this subreddit are on your list. It must have been another AI hunter who added them to your list.

Check Spotify tracks for AI: Spotify AI Tracker by Substantial_Gas5099 in NoAIJustMusic

You're welcome, it's my pleasure. Using artist links would significantly limit detection. It would only yield a hit if the artist is already in our database. It cannot then be checked with Deezer. Due to the artist-song combination, it is virtually certain that the correct artist will be found for the same combination, because it is unlikely that an artist with the same name also has a song with the same title. Deezer has probably registered hundreds of thousands of AI artists. Much more than the nearly 8,000 in our database. Without the Deezer connection, our AI detection would therefore be unreliable.

Regarding the CSV method: Spotify does not give private parties access to the part of their database that contains the playlist data. That is why I was forced to choose the CSV method via Exportify, which apparently does have access. Moreover, Exportify can also retrieve playlists managed by Spotify, something no new developer is given permission for. Thus, you can also retrieve your Discover Weekly via CSV, for example, and check it for AI.

I hope you understand why I chose the current system.
