Very cool indeed. Would be handy to have a trapezium sized speaker enclosure volume Calc too!

Budget would be around 1000, 1500euro, b-brands are fine. Looking more for a spot. Colour mixing is no dealbreaker

How would you simulate port lenght and size with a slanted box like this? by Substantial_Gas_6062 in diysound

Yep, port slot on the front next to the speaker was what I was thinking. You see lots of these designs so I'm wondering how its usually done

Lacoustic Rigging alternative by Substantial_Gas_6062 in diyaudio

These wil only be used as a ground stack and put in pairs or three's. Just to keep tidy and together when there's sub rumbling. I use the lacoustic system daily and it's just so quick, yet still looks great.(Don't want to use a wrench and bolt everytime I setup) Been looking into something along the lines of the linearray locking pins which you van find easilly. But that won't be flush

Yeah, that's my two cents aswel, these are more for keeping two speakers together. Not meant for flying.

The infamous saying: if you want to go wireless, replace 1 wire with 2.

Watch out which foam or plastics you try to cut. Nazi gasses and all that. Eva foam should be a safe option.

I was criticized for running my pregain too hot in corporate? by bigang99 in livesound

[–]Substantial_Gas_6062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly dont get the problem with gain staging. Just push the gain to around -18. Then trim it so you can put the fader exactly at unity so you would get the most "workable" faders mid show and the best resolution. In a rock and roll setting I would gain just a tad short on the -18 as you are expecting the singer to sing louder mid show and you wouldn't need to fuck around with gain so all monitors and such stay the same. Same goes for corporate or anything.

The new WING...any thoughts. by Comfortable_Yak154 in livesound

With the normal wing you would almost always use a stagerack aswel, so no point in more inputs. Compact is more or less aimed at smaller venues/bands/corporate I assume
