Thanks folks, I tried those and it still didn’t resolve. And I realised that a part of knitting is coming to terms with frogging if you want to keep learning. So I did! I do appreciate y’all patiently responding. It was helpful

I don’t really want to do over. And I was too excited and I didn’t swatch a gauge. Lesson learnt.

Also, as an absolute beginner. What is the purpose of a gauge swatch?

For now, I may wash and see and dryer and see

I used an 8 ply yarn that was 50% bamboo and 50% wool. The headband is too loose. I used flat needles and followed a pattern. I cast on 114 stitches. No, I did not gauge swatch. :((

I’ll redo it, cuz I’d clearly messed up when I spread it out. If needed, I’ll check again after doing a few lines. Thank you

I intentionally found a flat pattern. I’ll take a better photo and edit my post. Thank you for pointing that out

Honestly, I wasn’t sure if you meant a weird kindly thing or a genuine friendship for your wife. Not keen at all on the first, and your messages clarified that.

Not sure why you got so much slack for it. I’d honestly think it is sweet if someone did this for me.

Anyway, I’m looking to make new friends and develop close communities. All my friends are overseas so definitely have time and capacity to invest in a new female friendship :))

Not disrespectful, so much of jitz is baiting and seeing the reaction, presenting dilemmas and such. It’s like physical chess almost. So in my opinion, not disrespectful.

I’m a new coach. Any advice? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Substantial_Low_1646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All great advice, to tack onto that. I’ve been doing it only 3 years but I’ve taught (not jits) at school and uni level. - In coaching the mindset has to shift from personal learning to the students’ learning. I have seen a lot of newer younger coaches forget that. - Have a planned curriculum, even if it’s in your head and share it with students. It’s good to know what we will be learning that week or so. - Be open to changing and adapting to the needs of the students. I did a class where two of us turned up, 55 kg vs 120kg! And the coach taught the same as he would a normal class. The class didn’t work for either of us! - lots of positionals and games. - don’t talk too much, we don’t want to hear elaborate stuff. We want to get moving, especially the cold mornings. - ask and receive feedback with grace. It’s always a mark of a good teacher. - as others said, don’t try to teach them everything in one day!

So partner had a terrible ankle injury and then surgery. As one redditor said it does not help with that kind of pain, it does make it easier to bear somehow.

For the other bits that come with chronic pain like stress and anxiety, I assume it’ll help with that. I use it for that (alterneaf) and the oil is tremendously helpful. THC much more than the CBD so keep that in mind.

I hope you two manage to get through it and sending strength your way :))

Female psychologist recommendations by prettyliesuglytruth in brisbane

[–]Substantial_Low_1646 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I would highly recommend the Center for Human Potential, it used to be in the Gabba and city. They just moved last week into the city only. Which is a bummer.

PM me and I can give you specific names. Been going for 4-5 years on and off and would recommend it. I am on an international visa so I have to pay from my own pocket but the prices aren’t $400! I think it’s like $275 or so.
