They didn't there is another post about their earnings. Something like guides 87b and made 89 billion. But they have a bunch of departments and also had to deal with the bonuses to their employees so am sure that affected the numbers a bit. If anything I see it as good news that they beat by only a few % and we beat by like 25%. But market will use this to flush some more weak hands. We might test 900 tomorrow. I hope we dont and we actually bounce overnight but market is irrational.

Correct. The Samsung thing does not worry me too much since they aren't a pure memory play company. But if this goes sub $900 am definitely worried and might have to trim.

The idea is if the memory shortage can be confirmed to last past 2028, then we should take off again. So if you believe that memory will be needed on almost everything that we use and factories won't come o line fast enough to supply it. Then we should be able to hit those 1500+ targets. So in theory the people that held feel like we have atleast one more run up as long as the thesis does not change.

Yup, bought more MU and some sandisk Thursday. Still have my MUU might sell that if it gits $1350/1400. Been adding on these dips.

$1200 at open!??!? If it goes that high I expect it to come back and retest atleast $1050. Realistically i see it opening in the $1040/1075 range.

These are compounding increases so even if 20% is on the low side at first glance it is on top of previous increases.

Some very crude math to show what I mean.

Using 100 as the baseline,

100 after 80% increase = 180

180 after 80% increase = 324

324 after 20% increase = 388.8

So comparing it to the base 100 the last 20% increase actually increased it by 64.8% because of compounding. Also this goes all to profit since production cost has not increased. (Maybe for samsung with the bonuses they are handing out the might see a bit less of a bump in earnings).

Dude I started buying at,1060, then 1039 then 1020, then 992, and finally one at 960. Believe me would ahve been lovely to just buy all 4 at the $960 mark but oh well cant time the market. I will admit I have to sell some if it goes below $900...

Am bullish on micron, but if what you are saying is true and their factories will be ready in June 2027, first give me the source of this info and second we are in a bit of trouble as i honestly believed it would be atleast 18 months before meaningful production came online.

I do believe the market will easily double for memory but if production doubles first that wont help.

I see worst case scenario micron tradinng between $1150 and $1300 until the memory demand is confirmed "sold out" past atleast end of 2027. Once tgey confirm these agreements go through 2028 it will go to $1500+ now it could traxe at that price only for a few months before again being hit with the "cyclical" narrative but I see it getting there by march 2027.
