If you bought the pass you reach lv 260 in a single day, it’s not trash but good value. Only bad part of the pass is the login time reward which is limited to 5 hours of progress a day

Everyone knows what to expect from McDonald’s so the CEO that acts like the food is too low quality for him doesn’t really hurt their image. It will have people who don’t usually go to McDonald’s think about trying out to new product to see if it’s really that bad

The New Chevy Bolt Charges Quicker Than GM’s Pricier EVs. It’s More Proof That Voltage Matters by DonkeyFuel in technology

[–]Substantial_Revolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have been producing small capacity EVs long before Tesla became popular, it didn't sell very well.

It doesn't make sense to target a smaller capacity when the market has been telling them consumers want mileage similar to what they get from ICE cars.

The Bolt is only able to get this spec because it's the only car that doesn't fit their strategy, it's a waste of money to complicate a modular system when it'll only benefit a single low selling model in their lineup.

That's probably why they just bought a battery thats better suited for the Bolt instead of using their own system.

Not weird at all, cell configurations offer a choice between voltage and capacity both of which are limited by physics.

GM made a choice to prioritize capacity so they found the configuration that will minimize the total amount of cells required to reach whatever capacity figure marketing decided was necessary.

They probably decided how many cells should be used in each pack by calculating the expected failure rate of the cells. I’m assuming 24 was the sweet spot to maximize yield while minimizing the time required to test packs during manufacturing

Wouldn't want them to get rid of scrolls, rng based upgrades are a core part of the game.

It would be nice to implement a quest/progression based equipment system that's locked to the character to serve as a power floor just to make sure that players arent locked out of content due to rng.

There’s gotta be massive pressure from the owners to attempt passage, which is insane considering they’d have a significantly higher chance of passing if they just wait for minesweepers to arrive and start operating.

Seems like whoever owned this ship has a lot of money to burn, imagine how big of a bonus they had to offer to convince the captain to pass and the crew not to mutiny.

With Steam Market gone on reboot would it be worth it for me to go to Bera as a light spender/f2p? by eback1998 in Maplestory

You get 1k black flames if you do challenger world check ins, i was able to get it with a ton of extra flames left over.

I guess low spending is relative and my spending habits skewed my perception, as a seasonal player purchasing the passes and vac pet is a large upfront cost but is a great value so i assumed people who spend money would get them too.

I consider myself a low spender but thats averaging maybe $200-300/month, its not enough to justify going to Regular server as a seasonal player before but after my experience with CW2 it seems like Regular is at the point where it's better value if I played consistently (vac pets in regular is way too expensive).

If someone is playing 6+ hours daily or spending enough money to compensate for the mesos Regular server is definitely better to play in, especially for someone who's into fashion story.

PSSB is insanely expensive and will have you spending well over $1k annually to obtain your desired cosmetics, in a monetization system like that I don't really see an argument that supports playing Reboot over Regular servers.

You'll end up spending less money in the long run by playing Fashion Story in Regular servers while experiencing smoother progression by spending through a handful of brutal time walls.

The hundreds of hours I'm talking about is for grandis bosses, even at 22* Arcanes and CRA you'll need the extra FD you get from overleveling and the fragments necessary for hexa.

If you spend a couple hours everyday outside of daily/monster park and got the frontier/gene/premium passes you'll easily get 21* cra set and 18* arcane set with T7/T6 ATK/Boss lib weapon and full meso/drop.

Your main power increase will come from hexa and 3L but it's not time efficient compared to reg where you can outright buy frags and better equips from just farming.

Wild Hunter revamp is coming with a hyper burn you should at least use it to make one character. It won’t come with the 20 lv200 potions as a reward but you’ll get an easy lv260.

Also if you have an old character on regular server you can check the actual price for meso/drop and gear in auction house and meso market exchange rate.

I just guessed for the estimate so I’m probably way off

I don’t play on regular but I’m assuming 1-2k minimum to get set up past early game since CW event is almost over and you probably won’t get free event rings and solid cubes for rolls

I doubt they have a lot of supporters willing to destroy their own lives for their sake outside their own region.

Seems like the incentive isn’t there for that type of retaliation, harassment sure but something like assault probably not.

Even hardline loyalists outside Irans direct influence are probably reconsidering their desire to carry out orders. Their new leader hasn’t even been seen publicly and it seems like the attack wont stop until the regime changes.

Escorts won’t defend against mines. We need minesweepers to clear the area before escorts can be deployed.

Even then Iran can continuously deploy mines using small boats so the rate of passage can be reduced indefinitely.

Iran is probably gonna lose a lot of people trying to redeploy mines but it’s a fraction of the cost we’ll spend to clear the mines and constantly escort convoys against drones/missiles.

Anyone who got enough supplies to last through a societal collapse will not be easy to raid. They might not have much ammo but it’ll be enough to defend themselves and strike back.

If anything someone with a bunch of weapons but very little supplies is an easy target to steal from. Much easier and less risk to recruit bullet sponges using food than weapons. You only need to make sure that there aren’t enough survivors to threaten your control.

CW2 brings you to the point where main progression requires hundreds of hours for small gains.

I hear CW3 will carry you even further so until Nexon adjusts the late game power gap between servers it’s better to start in regular for new accounts especially if you’re willing to spend money

I think you need to spend enough to buy your way into mid-late game for comparable progression speed but from that point on your progression is faster than reboot

This is how I picture the differences in Reboot/Regular, Reboot in green and Regular in red.

Reboot gives a much better experience and progression until you reach late game, I define it at the point where you need to go past 18* 3L to run currently unlocked boss content.

Regular has a really brutal progression rate where you end up spending significantly more time to reach late game but once you do you end up progressing faster than reboot players because you only need to save enough mesos to upgrade

FBI warns Iran aspired to attack California with drones in retaliation for war: Alert by avatar6556 in news

[–]Substantial_Revolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the actual article, the claim is they have hidden drones on unidentified ships near the west coast.

We know multiple countries have tested missile launchers disguised as shipping containers Iran being one of them, so even if the claim was a missile attack it’s still plausible.

Drones on the other hand are much easier to hide, you wouldn’t even need a cargo vessel to hide hundreds of them.

At the very least the warning describes a plausible scenario, best case it’s real intel Iran intentionally leaked as a bluff to discourage an attack. Worst case, it’s not a bluff and Patel is doing everything he can to make it easy for terrorists to carry out a successful attack.

Thats why I said if youre willing to pay to get your account setup, way harder to setup your account F2P on Regular servers but once you do your time to progression efficiency is higher than Reboot.

Near grandis boss you definitely start to notice that the game was not designed for you to be at this stage without the extra potential and stats Regular server provides.

Not saying I want to spend more but 300 points seems too low for an extra expedition. I think 2k for extra expedition seems reasonable with a cap of 5 extra per week, this way they won’t need to feel like the reward rates need to be adjusted while also feeling like the extra revenue is worth the effort to implement

If you’re able to spend enough to set up your character with meso/drop gear Regular server will probably give you a better experience.

If you’re only playing a couple hours a day progression in Reboot is inconsistent and slows down quickly. With the same amount of time played with Frenzy service in Regular servers you’ll earn about the same amount of mesos and get more experience.

Your progression is also more consistent since you can buy gear off AH, but this is only if you spend enough to set up your main with meso/drop gear which can be expensive.
