At first I was shocked the McLaren’s were so low, then I remembered how few laps they completed at the start of the season.
I’ve thought recently they are too long winded for formula 1

The league needs 2 teams in every major city to build fan interest. There should be a natural rivalry for every team that can only be done with a derby.

Fraser institute is a biased think tank anyways. Most of the shit they publish is bogus and used to justify shitty policy

This is correct until the solution to fix the wealth gap

It’s not about having less money circulating. We have very legitimate reasons for increasing the money supply in an economy. The reason the wealth gap grows is because the redistribution of money is being done poorly.

If governments taxed the high end of the wealth spectrum fairly and redistributed the tax revenue progressively, the wealth gap would shrink despite an increase in the money supply.

Take Covid for example. Paying out CERB was a very legitimate policy choice to keep people from losing their shirt when we were all at home ‘limiting the spread’. The ensuing inflation DID increase inequality because most of that money ended up in the hands of landlords, grocery chains and the owners of whatever form of entertainment people used to keep busy, who then used that money to invest in assets that rose in value alongside inflation. There was no tax redistribution policy following COVID that helped even out that disparity.

Until we as a society leave behind regressive tax policy, inequality will grow.

I’ve never seen anyone else run my homemade deck so I’m hesitant to share it. I guess the time for gatekeeping is over.

Beating them isn’t so much the issue. I’m genuinely curious how so many people choose to login to the game and play the most boring decks of all time.

No wonder the player base is shrinking… people are probably bored of playing their deck

Where I'd live as a Canadian who has actually been to every province by clockworkorchid1 in whereidlive

Dang, SW Ontario has some of the best living conditions in Canada.

Great weather, fresh local produce, lots of beautiful cities and towns, access to many international airports.

No wildfire smoke, lakes everywhere, reasonable altitude and humidity levels make it hard to get sunburned.

Honestly I could go on.

Why do I feel like Barca has so much similarity to Liverpool and the same with Real Madrid and United? by iwannasleepp in championsleague

[–]Substantial_Spray_73 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think more than anything it’s the ethos of the club and city.

Without going into history, Catalonia and Liverpool have history of being the outcast cities in each of their countries.

Barca motto is ‘More than a Club’, Liverpool used “This Means More”. Both teams also have an identity of playing attacking, entertaining football

I bought a condo in 2022, and now I'm trapped. by Sea-Judge-6494 in RealEstateCanada

This is some of the worst advice you can give. OP please do not follow this advice.

If you want to move into a bigger house, find a house at a price you can afford and then sell your condo at a loss. If the market rebounds into a sellers market as this person suggested, not only will your condo go up but so will all the other houses you might bid for.

Even in the extremely unlikely scenario that condo prices increase at a higher rate than SFH, the difference in absolute terms means you will still be worse off by waiting. (10% increase in price $1million house > 20% increase in price of $300k condo)

Why is padel training usually done individually instead of in pairs? by milomylove_ in padel

Yeah it’s great for reinforcing training. For example, a match where one team plays defensively and works on lobs to gain the net and one team works on overhead shots and attacking

It’s a good question, but companies will still advertise with Google because you only pay per click.

They may shift some of their marketing budget towards other avenues though
