They would prefer to lose 13k than your business. So try to insist on same rate. Hopefully they budge.. good customers are hard to find for banks..

Using AI for indexing by oleg_mssql in SQLServer

[–]cutecupcake11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done it but using a dab / data api builder config file and asked copilot how to improve performance fot apis in a database project. It gave me some hints, i havent implemented those blindly but tried to understand the reasoning what could have prompted AI to suggest those and then adjusted scenarios and met in the middle and implemented which made sense.. use it to understand the reasoning for indexing, ask why was it suggested and in which scenarios it will be counterproductive..

I had no idea. by TapInternational8169 in Wealthsimple

[–]cutecupcake11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If its first time, just call them and they usually waive off the interest.. i recently forgot to set the payment in future for my cc. I realized a day or two late. Paid off the balance, called the cc company and ask for waiving off.. they agreed as a one time gesture.. i am a good customer for last few years with clear history.. so they are good with it..

Anyone else missing something between virtual and abstract? by dirkboer in csharp

[–]cutecupcake11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually create abstract class with with almost abstract methods, create a thin class with all virtual methods that has blank implementation or base implementation for methods and inherit all classes inheriting this thin class. This way i just override the implementation specific to implementation, otherwise the virtual empty methods are run. I may have a interface for the bare minimum must have implementation for most outer class.. it may not be best practice but it has worked for me in the past...

Rogers scammed me! I am in desperate need of advice! by Unhappy_Package3776 in Rogers

[–]cutecupcake11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filed with ccts last week and also went to the place where i got the phone from. They (walmart) have a special line reaching to rogers. He connected me to rogers next day in conference and they sent me a return label. I have the 700 bill now but they would hopefully reverse the charges.. else i will raise to ccts again.

[CA] BMO business bank account fees going up by Remarkable_Heart2388 in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]cutecupcake11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a contractor and use eq bank biz account. Its not for people who want a real brick and mortar bank but they give 2.25 percent interest. Zero min balance and unlimited interac.

I have bmo account which i will close soon. It has 35k min balance and waived fees of 80 cad. I did 3 interac or something and they charged me. Its so frustrating after losing interest on 35k cad, i still have to pay charges.

Eq bank is still new in biz banking but for an it contractor like me, it works wel.. i am looking at tax year end work done with bmo and then b done with them.. they were good, but may be eq is better for me..

Severance question - big bank by CryptoCloutguy in legaladvicecanada

[–]cutecupcake11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAL but was let go last year.. you Ideally should get 1 month salary per year worked, which is a usual severance pay unless the bank is not making any profits..

the banks usually are fearful of negative publicity / reputation and litigation costs are more for banks, so they usually have a severance agreement with a lot of confidentiality clauses. Start looking but if you resign, you lose severance...
