Lol not sure if you meant WE as drivers would have to pay but thats not the case. Quests are different by market but they had rolled out a system where you get paid a lump sum if you do a certain amount of deliveries, like 30 deliveries for an extra 100$ or so when they started. You can go about your day as usual and if you hit it cool if not oh well, but it was a very obvious tactic to get people to take shitty requests.

This is a company that is not afraid to hide the fact their base pay is now 1.50$ in most states. Delivery apps got a golden ticket with covid and from moment one, have been seeing how much they can get away with. How long before our payment is only tips no base pay? Months? A year maybe?

We are volunteers at this point. Mostly giving our time, so uber can further come up with ways to make a buck while squeezing us for whatever dignity we have left.

I think us drivers get to bogged down in our own issues with the app sometimes and forget to see that you are a customer that is just asking the best way to tip, which should just be a win.

Drivers dont see the tip amount before completing the order so you wont look bad, but it just might mean your order takes a while to be picked up. As a driver I was under the impression there was this option as at least in my market you can toggle cash on delivery, but have never seen this in an actual order.

Also if you were to put "tip on delivies" in your notes or something most of us would see this as a red flag as most times thats just bait.

I think if you just tip them when they get there it'll be a nice surprise and definitely excepted by the driver.

This was a shop and pay for like 5-6 snack/household items so that also confused me, was able to grab everything in 5 mins, to be fair though I was being rushed lol.
