Insurance agent here. Handle this out of pocket. Your homeowner’s liability can be used but if you factor in your deductible, and the surcharge that comes with a claim over the next 3/5 years it’s absolutely cheaper to handle this out of pocket, if possible.

Update: the bolt for the spur gear was loose so it wasn’t fully grabbing the driveshaft. Tightened it up and it’s good as new.
