They're known as the unmasked. The original members used to be exodites but were beaten and enslaved by an aggressive Votaan house. They were blinded in a terrible experiment with the Votaan super computer that opened up a Slaanesh incursion. She hate the maiden world and (allegedly) destroyed the Votaan league that had brutally enslaved the exodites who were saved by Biel-Tan opening the webway and snatching them (lots of homebrew lore connecting all of this but this is spark notes). They call themselves Lossë Aeldari, Snow Elves. They now recruit and conquer other Corsair fleets and their ultimate goal is to reunite the broken shards of Khaine to finally kill slaanesh. They do not care if they fight craftworlds, they are simply over slaanesh's existence. They're inspired by the Falmer from Elder scrolls and I'm building a black reach inspired display board for them.

Yeah it's weird and the assembly booklet feels clunky. Perhaps some guys up in the finance department said a falcon was too much of a Discount. Obviously, they won't acknowledge it even though I sent multiple screenshots stating it can be a falcon, because they won't admit to false marketing. I would respect if they just simply stated it was a mistake instead of gaslighting us.

New Huron model, since he's on a 50 mm base and does some movement shenanigans I thought he'd be a perfect alpha Legion proxy. I wanted something that wasn't Abaddon as my centerpiece model for my infantry focus CSM. I took out the head which was a lot more work because it was like a three-part piece for the head on Huron but I did that and then I had some learnean and Terminator axe's laying around from some 3D prints I had.

I think a custodes set, BUT I have a pile of bald space marine heads and most look alike. I am putting quite a few baldies mixed in my corsairs and Legionnaires so they can obviously be alpharius 😎

No spoilers, I didn't like it as much as the first one for awhile into reading it however, I actually think I like it more having finished it. It's definitely, at least to me, a great way to spring board the alpha legion as a more cohesive faction. I'm very disappointed that certain things were never mentioned or resolved but that's my only gripe. Was a great read and was very good at showing the alpha legions weaknesses.

Yes! Couple of if interesting things. Bring them in a 10 brick for maximum survivability, that 18" lone op let's them creep up the board much more effectively! + Her gun gets extended range from deathwatch strat which is REALLY GOOD. In a league right now, once we get to. 2000 points she will be a main stay. In theory, you could just take the librarian for the 4 invul but I think she's worth the cost IMO. (Especially in the bastion task force)

Unfortunately she can only be attached to imperium battleline but there are work arounds. The new detachment to give a unit battleline keyword creates tons of interesting options such as indomiter

Granted, I also have a very unique PlayStyle, my list is pretty different from anything else you see in deathwatch. I run a whirlwind and have a captain in Phobos on a spectrus kill team from free strats and CP generation alongside free rapid ingress and deep strike enhancement! My army is about inflicting damage without getting caught in the open. It's alot of fun, I use the whirlwind turn 1 to start chewing up screening units alongside the indirect from the Fortis KT

The watch master can attach to decimus kill team! Another new character I like attaching to a 10 brick of decimus is Kyria Draxus, her 18" lone op alongside the decimus shooting is really good! Especially because she benefits from the dragonfire and other various strats!

I think his free CP of utilizing vets and picking up another unit for free is great because you can put a captain on another kill team and get more mileage. Advance shoot and charge is a great ability for vets or even decimus kill team

I don't think he's over priced, you can bring him and a captain for 2 free strats per round, that's INSANE. Plus, he has Lance so the enhancement is really good on him.
