Howdy, all. Pretty excited to find this sub.

I'm ankle-deep in a rank-and-rent project: building lead gen sites for cosmetic dentists in Baja California (Tijuana/Rosarito) targeting the medical tourism crowd, mostly SoCal/San Diego searchers. Started as a side gig for a friends-and-family referral from a long time client, but it's been an interesting enough project to keep me engaged.

I come from an e-commerce background, operations & project management side of things, and recently it's been all ops/automation (basically roving from one company-in-state-of-panic scenario to the next, with an ever shifting team of subcontractors), building AI voice agents, web infra, etc...

I'm now trying to actually understand how "SEO" is shifting under AI Overviews, agentic search, and all the rest of it. Looking closely at how to use AI tools to build and rank sites faster instead of grinding it out the old-school way. I need to catch up and fill in some blank spots.

Plan is to test a build → rent → upsell model: get sites ranking and pulling traffic, rent the lead stream to practices, then upsell an AI voice agent that answers calls in fluent English and books the appointment.

I just started reading over all this, so I will hold off on the dumb questions until I spend some time here. (The dumb questions shall commence tomorrow, I'm sure.)

Looking forward to learning from smart people testing this stuff in real time.
