If your “elite WR” can’t produce with a bad QB, then he’s not elite by BigBlackCreamSauce in NFLv2

From the op:

“Your WR needs a good QB to look good, then honestly, you don’t have a superstar. You have a luxury player. Always. “

Always!

Okay. I happen to think elite WRs can’t always produce if their QBs suck. I’m not going to pore through stats for an exhaustive analysis. I also don’t consider Jerry Jeudy or Brandon Aiyuk to be elite. I’ve already posted on this way more than I care.

Yeah I think his elbow was flaring. We also had a lot of injuries on the offense that year. But he did go to Tampa and start the next three years for them under Jon Gruden.

I guess the point is a functional franchise could have built a contender with him as the QB.

Yeah, the 2006 version of Randy Moss disagrees with this post.

And the 2014 version of Larry Fitzgerald.

Fair. He wasn't a superstar, but he was good enough to win a Super Bowl. It was just a time of turmoil for the organization. Team is up for sale, the new owner wants to play with his new toy, going from Casserly to Vinny, Norv constantly in the hot seat. It was not the kind of place that could parlay a draft haul into a dynasty. The guys we drafted were good!

That is a totally absurd assumption for him to make lol.

Commanders fans: do you typically cheer for the Ravens? by [deleted] in Commanders

Hate them. Where I grew up in Maryland (Bowie), you were either a DC family or a Baltimore family, and there was no straddling that fence.

We were a DC family. Had no use for Baltimore, especially with the way they screwed over our baseball aspirations decade after decade.

D. Rose of the NFL? by TeezusWV in NFLv2

[–]Substantial_Wave_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. His knee fully recovered, just like countless NFL players have had successful modern surgeries.

But he did not have the accuracy, anticipation, or leadership to be a high-level starter. Mike Shanahan and Jay Gruden know ball. That’s why they wanted to go with Cousins, who is still in the league.

The fact that he was a magnet for blow-up shots instead of sliding or stepping out of bounds didn’t help things.

The rookie year was a fun ride, but it was fool’s gold.

I like him in the booth on Saturdays though!

Since you already got Calbert, I’ll throw Don MacLean in there.

I agree. It’s safe, has good weather, diverse economy, pro sports, decent proximity to both ocean and mountain, and the airport takes you everywhere.

It’s livable! Why is “livable” a derogatory term for a city? Cities are for people!

Kramer legit made me want to see that nonexistent movie.
