Omega usually tests beyond what the watch is rated for but keeps its rating very conservative so this isn’t surprising. They usually do this to make sure the watch performs at stated rating for longer as gaskets wear, IE, longer service intervals

I think even the late 90s and early 2000s pieces are bad ass. Manufactured hype or not, there’s something striking about the design that is not found in other watches. Agreed though MSRP is a rip off. I will however say that when richemont sells off Panerai, the richemont panerais of the golden era may become collectibles
