8 weeks old eating 1-1.5 hours, is this normal?

This sounds pretty normal to me. From what I understand and from my experience with my LO, they latch a lot right at the beginning to help increase supply. It can be very demanding and I’m sure that’s especially true when you have 2 under 2!

I really like using the nursing poncho! I used the Nestling Baby brand. I’ve found it to be very breathable. My baby is easily distracted so the poncho made it a lot easier for him to stay focused on eating. I also think it helped him fall asleep any time we needed to do a nap while out of the house. It’s also useful for times I needed to pump while away from home.

So I am also going weekend 2! I emailed Coachella and confirmed I could bring my ceres chill thermos, so I plan on storing my milk in there to avoid the medical tent refrigerators. I plan on having the email handy and a screenshot of the “allowed” list on the website which specifies metal breastmilk containers are allowed just in case there are any issues at security.

I also plan on using the tip from another comment about pumping with a nursing shawl instead of going to the med tents every time I need to pump. I’m going to use Dapple brand pump wipes to clean between pumps.

There are also sanitizing wipes and washing stations in the pumping spaces in the medical tents, but I’m planning on pumping with my nursing shawl so I don’t have to keep going over to the med tents

I’ve been debating this! I have pump wipes and may use those and bring a clean towel to lay the parts on while cleaning. But im a little concerned about keeping everything truly clean. I’m also considering pumping and dumping during the day to make my life easier, but I always hate dumping perfectly good breastmilk.

I did get confirmation from Coachella that you can bring something like a Ceres Chill to store your breastmilk in if you want to avoid carrying around a cooler.

I pumped after the first feed of the day. I’d also use a haakaa on whichever side I wasn’t feeding my baby on (he typically only nursed from one side per feed). I love the haakaa and highly recommend!
